3113 Hey!, I was just repeating what Charissa said about herself, just turned the phrase a bit. This is what I'm talking about, I get jumped on for this crap all the time... I'm doing nothing wrong, ya'll just nutz.

3113 Well it is on the market... Hopefully more independent books stores will pick it up. I have learned that I have rather odd reading habits. Apparently the books I want to read are next to impossible to locate… or at lest that is what the wife tells me, perhaps she is just trying to manipulate my reading.

3113 You will be happy to know Donna that Booksence is pushing a new machine on independent book stores… I think it was called EZbooks. It is basically a machine that stores books electronically and can print off book (covers included). It is suppose to be geared toward out of print books, but can also be used in lue of special orders ( Independent book stores don’t really make money on SO unless they charge a fee) from what my wife tells me I guess it is going to work kind of like Itunes. Or if a store does enough business with it they can get the service on a monthly rate. The only draw back is the machine is pretty expensive so…

Damn now I am starting to doubt if it is EZbooks or not… it is something close to that I think

3113 I would have thought short and thick... you know with the shallow cunt and all ;) One doesn't want to re-arrange the guts.

3113 Bloviate away, I often find myself guessing at what abbreviations mean. It can be fun WTF: Where to Fu*K
IMO: In my orifice
OMFG: Ouch! My fibula is gone.

3113 Yeah, I see what your saying Donna. I just get... itchy when I hear about proposed laws outside of the scope in which the government is supposed to act.
Aug 22, 2008 12:16PM

3113 Yep, anything to keep them from what their suppose to be doing... but that is another thread all together. I didn't mean to side track the thread.

3113 Yeah sure, put a label on every sandwich if you want, I don't have a problem with that. I do have a problem with the government stepping in say “there are too many fast food establishments here… no more!”

I really don’t eat fast food, but you know, every once and awhile I feel like a greasy heart stopper. It is a choice.

Aug 22, 2008 12:03PM

3113 It really bothers me when the government tries to legislate personnel choice. I find this on both sides. With the whole pro life/choice, and environmental ball parks. I am also seeing it allot more when it comes to people’s diet habits. How is it the governments business what I eat/drink/smoke. Why is it their concern how much Trans fat I consume? IMO it is none of their business. This is another reason I am against Social healthcare. If the government takes control then it BECOMES a public concern because the public is paying for it. These are really slippery slopes.

3113 McCain:

Hope: Lieberman
Fear: huckabee/Romney
Do.Not.Want> Romney

Sarah Palin: She is a straight shooter, and has made a name for herself in stomping the shit out of dirty crooks. But she is a newbie. Give it 8 years and we will see. (oh and she is pretty hot)

Obama:

I would rather not throw my vote in on this one. I just don’t care for the man/policies. If he wins then it doesn’t really matter to me. I’ll just hold my breath and hope I come out alright in 4 years

3113 I don’t like Irene, She makes me break form.

There are tons of people here I disagree with all the time. But through conversations at lest I can see where they are coming from. There has even been a time or two when I “flip-flopped” on an issue. I think that happened 2 times.

3113 What government do you work for? I bet it is one that sports a colorful flag.

I think you championing the Canadian health system is enough reason for me to be completely against it. Health as a business.. well there must be a monetary gain/exchange in order for people to want to improve it. You see working for the greater good of man sounds really cool and all until you spend time with people and realize their not worth the effort. Now put some of those drugs in your system to use and imagine you are that guy... you no longer care about Joe blow, you see him having a good time, living in a big house (because he has 30 kids and you don't)You don't have any kids because you are always squirreled away in some medical research lab. Now if you received a nice check every other week or so for you dedicated efforts and were able to enjoy life when not improving the lives of others then you probably wouldn't care so much that Joe blow was a scum bag.

I think Communist Russia tried that whole work for the greater good thing and If I recall it didn't work out too well. So yeah, half the planet is going social, apparently people don't remember history.

Why Am I responding to you? ugh!

Aug 14, 2008 11:10PM

3113 ::shifty eye::

really, I worked for that one too. I think.
Aug 14, 2008 10:49PM

3113 which one?
Aug 14, 2008 10:40PM

3113 There is a book out there... I think it is "blow fish at midnight" or something like that,it's about a spook baseball game between the CIA and secret service... anyway whenever anyone asked the main character what he did he replied " I work rfo the government." Nobody ever asked "what one." Just saying, you know, just throwing it out there.
