Failure/Success (26 new)

3113 I don't think you can insure the results but I don't see why one couldn't insure construction and labor, and equipment failure. We do it on the pipeline and these projects run well into the hundreds of millions of dollars. I don't see why they couldn't get some kind of policy together.

3113 Umm, this is a joke, but serious too... Ever hear of insurance :)

I think they are just waiting on the carbon fiber, Larry. That will be a big day, and I'm sure with it's own list of setbacks, but exciting none the less.

3113 That stings.

I don't have a personal invested interest in the space program and support industries, but I feel every failure like it's my own.

3113 Lets go make the universe a better place... one country at a time :D

3113 I think your supernova is prettier then mine.

I find it awesome that the universe destroys things in such a beautiful way.

3113 And please Sherrie, I was told yesterday that you missed two minutes of hate. Big brother requires you to participate in the daily calisthenics, and in the two minutes of hate every day.

3113 No.

We have them but since you asked for them we can not give them to you; vodka only.

Also you are asking too many questions lately, we require you to report to the ministry of love for an evaluation. See you there citizen.

3113 That IS a thought crime against big brother, Charissa. If you are dead then who will rewrite our history every morning? Back to work, when you’re done I'll give you your daily ration of victory vodka and victory tobacco.

3113 "newspeak"

Now that I have told you be sure not to go and commit a thought crime.
3113 Oh, and I don't know if this is common, but does anyone else have a dog that has a pillow? Not a large pillow they lay on but a pillow that they carry around and rest their head on? I'll try and find a picture.
3113 My dog is extremely emphatic. Not only with brow movements, but sighs, throat grumbles and squeaky whining crossed paws over the eyes. And if all else fails and we don't respond to her obvious state of displeasure she will turn her back to us and stare at the wall, all the time breathing very heavy, like a small child pouting that they can't have that special toy.
3113 Thats what puppies are for silly.
3113 See you all are over looking the cheapest way to communicate... Ditch all your friends and loved ones then you don't need to worry about text/snail mail/long distance calls. Just give everyone the finger... the middle :)

3113 I'm sorry Isaiah, I have to disagree with you across the board. That money I listed above is going to existing offices that are already staffed to do the "oversight" required for the projects. This is not a stimulus package it is an standard appropriations bill there is nothing stimulus about it. There are a lot of pet projects. And a word on government spend; generally speaking government moneys go to government contractors. I don't think companies loaded with government contracts are hurting, I think it is the folks that used to build offices and homes that need new jobs. Maybe just maybe if the folks in congress actually read it before voting on it things would be different. That you claim this is birthed through partisanship and "mutual compromise" is laughable. That you talk of 191 million as chump change then I'm chump. And if anyone is doing business as usual Mr. JPL then it is you. I am not attacking the left or the right, I am attacking both sides. I am attacking Obama for signing this useless bill. And I have a spine so don't worry about me being passive aggressive about it. I understand that I am not articulate, but I do have a rather firm understanding of this process weather I can communicate it or not. So through up some more math equations like that makes your point valid and we can all be happy.
