I learned that Obama Smokes!~ I guess he isn't all that bad.

Get a hair cut and a real job.

I recently received a security PowerPoint presentation Via our guard force on the pipeline. It is pretty detailed, anyone interested in reading through it let me know and I'll e-mail it out. Or if you know a way to post PowerPoint.

this should have happened 13 years ago.

see, you have proven my point.

Larry, I think you are now qualified to call yourself The Dog whisperer, a real canine connoisseur

So just because some talking head invites you on their show, you become a political expert? Man I wish credentials were that easy to come by in my field.

I think this article is complete fluff. Autonomous robotics is something that I have an interest in and to keep it short and sweet, we are currently 50 years minimum from a “robot” that can perform on its own. The operating platform just isn’t there. The main problem being there is no standard operating system yet (none have been successful enough to mainstream) so every time they try something new they need to start from scratch. It is a moot point to talk about ethics of machines when you don’t have a machine that can walk across a room on its own let alone negotiate a field of battle.

what exactly is a political expert? I mean is there a card or something?

I do... they used to be cool... they have kinda sold out. every now and then they do something cool. but that show is pretty mickey mouse now. sadly.

P.S.
What do you think about government prizes? Like the DARPA contest where they set the goals and those that achieve them get a bank roll. I think it is a great idea, but really underfunded, the prize never covers the cost of development... well that is not true I recall an article from Scientific America where a science teacher re-engineered the glove for the space suit. I believe he was able to meet he stated standards and used Duct tape.

I am all about increasing funding to NASA and JPL. I don't think the military is the place to find the coin though. How about we re-allocate the money that goes to the U.N.

Logan, that is my wife's problem. she has re-written her current work countless times over the last 5 years. I Told her to quit finger fucking it and send it in... look what happened.

now comes the fun part.... editing. It is the best part though.

I have heard of this last year; pretty cool stuff. As it is we (there are many that believe this) have hit our processing ceiling, with our current technologies. the silicon chip and processors have reacher their apex. It is like having a perfectly engineered engine, at some point you have to re-invent the engine to make it go farther, faster. I read a full article on this in scientific America magazine. There is also a group trying to make an engine that runs off of photons. Not solar, actually running off of light... think flubber.

sniff... sniff...
I smell nerd.

Eh, sorry for disturbing the peace.

Sensitive. Heh! My advice to the ladies: Stick to the crotch scratching neanderthal(sp), at lest you know what your getting.

I forgot to mention that midgets are freaky... so you know the comparison works....

As A guy that has seen the UN in action, up close and personal like. I would argue that the aid was received by the intended people. I am sure that the aid was sent, but I don't think it ever made it to the destination. The UN is pretty useless, poor management, and all the rest. A much more effective way must be drawn up because right now it is about as efficient as a one legged midget trying to climb a latter. I am positive there is a cheaper and more effective manner to fulfill it's intended purposes.
