my aunt lives near there in Hood River. I always stop at Multnomah when I drive up the Gorge to visit her. I love that drive.

I'm really enjoying the Sigourney Weaver episodes which are viewing now. My daughter and I watch them together. She is as in love with them as me.

Is anyone else watching Planet Earth episodes on the Discovery Channel? This show makes me inordinately happy. I can hardly believe the footage sometimes. And I clearly need a reminder what an amazing planet we live on. Tonight I decided that in my next life I want to be a lemur living in a baobab tree in Madagascar.

I'll ask my BFF what the story was... I'm sure she remembers better than me.

true enough Bunny. I tend to hate the WB, which is the one that screwed over Joss to begin with. He's certainly been around Hollywood to have formed some enemies. Tinseltown does in fact operate like that, so perhaps foul play was in the offing. My BFF would know better than me. She paid way more attention to the boards than I did. I'm a rank amateur... she's a professional fangirl. ; )

do yourself a favor and start with the DVDs. Watch the episode in order... then see the film. OH I'm so jealous you get to experience Firefly for the first time!!!

my impression from the talk around the show was that the Producers were just clueless shitheads. Joss was stretched way too thin while still creating Buffy and Angel. He didn't have the energy to fight for the episodes to be aired as he created them. It was a huge shame. The show is frikking amazing as he created it.

I really try to avoid subjecting myself to films where horrible things are done to children. I really have no defenses against the feelings it stirs.
