269862 It is absolutely my pleasure! I hope you can have some fun, and cut down on your ARCs too :)
Oct 05, 2017 11:35AM

269862 Mel: I have advice! The ARCs NEVER expire on any kind of Kindle - even a phone Kindle app. Download the app and send it to your 'kindle'! BAM! Solved :)
Oct 05, 2017 11:25AM

269862 Exactly, and we will all share reviews as well! Yes, review copies absolutely count, I have included that explanation in both "How it works" bit and I have updated this post too!

It's even more interesting if you're reading a different book. We will just have more interesting and diverse reviews to read :)

269862 I will admit my own fault in Sad's big trouble. I GOT SAD SUNDAY INTO NETGALLEY.

Spare my soul.

269862 Welcome Savannah! It's never too early :D
269862 This is the thread where we share our achievement of not going on NetGalley or Edelweiss or simply resisting the urge to download a book!

Let me start. I have not been on NetGalley for three days!

😂😂😂

269862 Support thread when you feel like going on a NetGalley raid. Let's see if we can talk you out of it.
Oct 05, 2017 11:16AM

269862 This is the topic where you tell us about all your sins (and grabs) after visiting the casino Netgalley, Edelweiss or any other place where you get ARCs.

C'mon, you've already grabbed it, might as well flaunt it! Shaaaaare with us!

269862 This is the topic where we share how we are doing with our monthly pick.

Yes, yes, this is also the place you cry on our shoulders if you're failing. We're here for you.

269862 This group is meant to motivate you to cut down on your overdue or unread ARCs or other review copies.

Each month we will choose a topic by voting on a poll. The topic will help us pick a book from our ARC/review copy stack that we will choose to read that month. Since we all have different ARCs, we will all choose different books.

All the books we've chosen will be placed on the group shelf. We will share our reading progress in a dedicated topic, we will also talk about the books we are currently reading. After we are done reading, we will share our reviews for the ARCs we've read and visit each other (share the love!)

What counts as an ARC? I'm using this as a generalization, but of course any review copy you have counts. Anything as long as it's received from a publisher or an author, or anything at all for which you've promised to write a review but haven't read it yet. New ARCs or old ARCs, electronic or print, even audiobook – you name it. We want to help you cut down on that stack!

So good luck :)

269862 On no, dear Sim!! You don't have the most :D I have almost 100!!!

Yes!! I should clarify that somewhere :)

269862 If you have any questions about the group, group reads or the memes – ask away!

269862 State of the ARC is a monthly feature on my blog where you can motivate yourself with your ARC reading progress, or at least show off you overdue ARCs, to make that blogger guilt better. Once you post, you are welcome to link your post up to the meme!

State of the ARC #3 will be coming out on October 30, so you can plan to link up.

269862 State of the ARC is a monthly feature on my blog where you can link up with the others and count your monthly ARC progress. It's meant to motivate you to pick up your old ARCs, and if you fail – to at least show off your old ones! Makes that blogger guilt better :D

You can still write a State of the ARC post for September and link up :) here is the link:

The next one will be on October 30th, so if you want to take part, you can plan ahead :)

269862 I am so happy all of you have joined! Although I know most of you, but I guess most of you don't know.. the other part of most of you xD

Basically: EXCITE

Kris, I'm also totally addicted to NetGalley. Belle, I am proud of you! You've stopped requesting! Linda, I'm happy you don't have near as many. Good job :D Sheila! I know what you mean, Edelweiss is damn awesome as well, and the best (worst) thing – IT DOES NOT HAVE A FEEDBACK RATIO. So basically? Nothing stopping you from requesting more D:

269862 This is a placeholder. I will announce the poll voting results here and we will all share the ARC we picked!
Oct 05, 2017 10:29AM

269862 Okay, so the plan is this:
We choose a theme / genre for our ARC and that will help us pick the next ARC in the list. Since everyone has different ARCs, we will generally just pick a theme because that's the easiest way for us to motivate ourselves all together!

UPDATE: by ARCs, I mean any kind of review copy! They don't necessarily have to bet ARCs, just as long as it's a copy from the publisher/author – it totally counts!

It's October 5, I've just started the group, and I don't know if it will roll out fast enough for us to actually start reading! But if it doesn't we can just postpone the read :)

Here's the poll! The poll is active up tilll October Friday the 13th (boo!)
https://www.goodreads.com/poll/show/1...

After choosing our topic, we will all share the ARC we've picked from our stacks, I will put ALL those on the group shelf and we'll start reading! At the end of the read, we will share all of our reviews with each other :)

269862 Hi all and welcome to #ARCsAnonymous! We know your woes. This is the thread where you introduce yourself and tell us about your bookish sins. I will start!

My name is Evelina. I am an ARCoholic! I have over 100 unread ARCs (woe is me...).
I have also read amazing books and never written reviews for them, because what if I can't do the book justice??

Your turn!
