I can't believe I am the group leader and I have the least amount of points xD !!! I have 80 mow, cause I resisted requesting the week before. But not last week! Grah.
Hi everyone!Time sure flies, and we find ourselves almost faced with November. Which is why we have to nominate candidates for our new theme! I want you all to get a chance to pick this time, so we are going to keep this thread open until this Thursday (the 26th), and up to that day you can suggest topics for the November theme in this thread.
Then we will have the poll open for voting up till November 1st. And that's when we find out our new topic for our ARC reads!
So please submit your theme ideas for November here!
Hi everyone! Sorry I was away for so long. Sheila, congrats about finding another one to add - you are on a roll! Gemma, you're not late at all! Still plenty of time to finish it, I will add it to our shelf :)
P.S. I've added all your books, except for Sam's Book of Lies - I couldn't find that one, maybe it's not added on Goodreads?
Cool, you even had the Boy! I really wanted that ARC xDMel - don't even get me started on the terrible Goodreads app... I mostly just use my mobile browser because the app is... not really my friend :D
You read 12 ARCs this month? :0 wow! We are only counting ARCs, not regular books. Saying just in case :DI have only read like 4 books T_T time.... grrr
Oh my, poor Marta! If a book has poor grammar and spelling, then it's already a clue that it has not been edited and suffers from poor quality. Actually, the premise sounds great, but I know what you mean. Sci-fi sometimes suffers from too much politics... But if we're talking bad grammar than it's even worse. I hope you can skim through it and give it a 2 star review! So nobody else has to suffer reading it :D
I guess in terms of being approved, cause sometimes they approve you on books that are already published :) I think mine are all from 2016, not speaking about author copies :D
Mel, I can see that happening! I am totally creeped out by ticks. They are very common here and they carry crippling diseases. Little monsters! Thanks for telling us about the book in depth like this. Although I'm far too squeamish (and too freaked out about ticks already every summer), I was interested in the summary and your thoughts :)Also, I will add your books to the shelf, girls - when I get on the PC :) on the phone now!
Katie, it totally counts if it helps you pin down your old ARCs and wrestle them off your shelf :) sure, let's go with druids! Mythology works.
So I finished my book (Magic Bitter, Magic Sweet), and actually??? IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!
So the group is already paying off, woohoo!
I just don't know when I'll be posting the review, as the review slots on my blog are absolutely taken up. Whoops!
So I have 70 points now, yay! I am obviously not going to catch up with you girls, but I'm still super proud, especially because that ARC was a year old and also it turned out to be really good! Don't know when I'll review it though, no more slots on the blog xDMarta, you are also on a roll, congrats!
Grace, you also get 5 points for starting a theme book in the first place! So you have 65 :)
Aw man, Adele, that's a bummer! Well, you can't know things you don't know right. If it makes you feel any better, I also messed up by getting like 70 in one go xD even if they're on my kindle, it will take me a while to get through them.
They often don't approve me because I'm international xD hey, maybe that's actually a good thing?? :DMarta, I think that is truly Step 1 :D
I actually went into NetGalley today to post a review, saw some nice books, read the descriptions, AND DID NOT REQUEST! Yay me!! 😂
