Meanwhile, I've started reading Magic Bitter, Magic Sweet and now I'm really sorry I have waited all this time to read it 😱 you have no idea how hooked I am! I went to bed late yesterday and boyfriend was actually waiting up for me, and he said "so did you finish it? Cause I thought that would be the only way you'd stop reading" 😂 I am only like 20% in, but it's got cake, magic, slaves, mysterious ghosts and evil. Loads of that. And a mysterious past. And! You can read it out of order. Which I didn't choose to do. Anyway, it's amazing!

Bethan, that was hilarious 😂 well, I've just started mine and I've posted a post about it here in the group before, so I have a whopping 10 points now 😂😂😂

We keep our scores here so we wouldn't forget. Say, you finish a book that was a theme ARC - then you come to this thread and say:

"My current score is XX for finishing X book for Y theme. I have also scored X points because it was an old ARC. This puts my score at a total of XX."

Think of it as a notepad so we won't lose track!

I would present an example for you, but I have yet to earn ANY score xD

You can see what actions are worth what scores on this thread.

So I've been thinking of ways to motivate you to read your ARCs more!
(...okay, so, and myself too xD)

Basically, we're going to get scores for doing things! At the end of the month we can make a scoreboard and celebrate how well we did 🎉

How we score:
50 points for finishing an ARC that was in topic
10 points for finishing any ARC
10 more points if the finished ARC was at least a year old
50 points for not requesting a single ARC for THE ENTIRE MONTH
10 points for not requesting anything for a week
5 points for posting an update on what your book is about in our discussion topics
5 points for sharing your review (link) with us of the theme book
5 points for starting a theme ARC (even if you won't finish it!)

If you have any further ideas on how what else could be scored, just suggest 😊 we can all score ourselves in a special thread for each month. You can find October's thread here.

2 years! That's a win 😃 I got my 2-year old one knocked off the list several months ago 😊 Sam, maybe you should pick something out of those old ones, maybe they match the theme? 😃 if not, when we're doing next month's nomination, you should nominate a theme you can use 😃

Melanie - perhaps we'll have a Christmas theme for December or something, you could get that holiday one off the list 😊

You have a full time job and two kids and you still finished 7? You have my respect, woman!! You're tough! Ah well, I guess the time off explains some of it :D I mean.. nobody should be happy when their kids are sick, but... That kind of worked out for you, hahah :D

Oh man, Warcross... Jealous! I haven't started either xD I've been having to teach evening classes on top of my regular work... I don't even know how I'm making time for the blog as it is :D but soon. SOON™
