Hello and welcome Houda! I hope that you enjoy the group and happy reading!

Hello and welcome to the group Rebecca, Taisha, Robert and Agnes. I'm thrilled that you joined us and I hope that you enjoy it! Looking forward to the wonderful discussions to come!

Hello and welcome Gay and Trudy! I hope that you enjoy the group!

Alright, here is the link for Dahl in Goodreads
https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...What book would you like to read? There is always
James and the Giant Peach,
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, or we could try an idea that one of the members discussed in another thread about making a month about that author and everyone can read what book strikes them at the time, and discuss them in general. Any ideas?

Hello and welcome to Anna, Sandy, Katie, Heather, Montana Perez, Beth, Grace, Emma, Karen, Marc and Shannon! I'm really excited by all the new people that have joined in the last few days and I hope that you enjoy the club! Just a quick note if you happen to see a thread that is older and you would like to comment on that book, feel free to bring it back into discussion. None of the threads are closed and it is fun to hear people's thoughts on books besides the current group reads. Happy reading!

Cujo isn't one of my favorites, but love the others you mentioned. I have a huge check out pile from the library and I'm pretty sure that The Stand would eat up way too much time.

Also, I have the Great Gatsby, I watched the movie and someone told me the book is worth rea..."Animal Farm was an easier read for me than 1984. It is short and having it set on a farm, made the book go faster for me. It is a book about politics. If you start The Great Gatsby, you could join in with the group read this month!

A Week in Winter. It was bittersweet reading it.

I'm only 10 pages in and I'm already enjoying it. Funny how time changes perception. I enjoy the description of Tom Buchanans. I can visualize him in my mind and can understand the exact personality.

Hello and welcome Mandin! I hope that you enjoy Gatsby, I just started today, so don't worry about being behind. Happy reading!

Hello and welcome Sheri C! I had no idea that we were the featured group this week, no wonder we have so many new people. I hope that you enjoy the group! Happy reading!

Hello and welcome Oo! I have to do the same thing with classics! I have to intersperse my other reads with them. Happy reading!

Hello and welcome to the group Leslie! Way to go finishing AK, that is an accomplishment! I hope that you enjoy the group!

I completely forgot about this buddy read. Perhaps, later this spring I can dig out from under my to read pile and pick these stories up. Thanks for bringing this back up!
Isobel wrote: "I joined the group today. Lucky Gatsby is a short book so I can finish the book I'm reading and then hopefully read Gatsby in time to join in. I read it when I was about 19 and I remember liking it..."LOL Isobel!
A-denie, I have wondered if many school reads are picked for their length also. Welcome to the group everyone!

Welcome to Andrea, Diana S, Ilse-mari, and Isobel! I'm thrilled that so many people have suddenly decided to join our little book club. I hope that you find some good books to read, and maybe, find some appreciation for the classics that you had to read in school.
Diana S wrote: "I'm currently reading I Capture the Castle by Dobie Smith and The Gilly Salt Sisters by Tiffany Baker"How are you enjoying I Capture the Castle? We read that as a group read last year.
