What book would you like to read? There is always James and the Giant Peach, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, or we could try an idea that one of the members discussed in another thread about making a month about that author and everyone can read what book strikes them at the time, and discuss them in general. Any ideas?

Funny, I don't think that I have ever read a King book, what would be a good one to start with that is not too long? I have a huge check out pile from the library and I'm pretty sure that The Stand would eat up way too much time.

I just got done with Bitterblue and really enjoyed it. Loved that whole series!

Animal Farm was an easier read for me than 1984. It is short and having it set on a farm, made the book go faster for me. It is a book about politics. If you start The Great Gatsby, you could join in with the group read this month!

It is A Week in Winter. It was bittersweet reading it.

I'm only 10 pages in and I'm already enjoying it. Funny how time changes perception. I enjoy the description of Tom Buchanans. I can visualize him in my mind and can understand the exact personality.

Welcome to Andrea, Diana S, Ilse-mari, and Isobel! I'm thrilled that so many people have suddenly decided to join our little book club. I hope that you find some good books to read, and maybe, find some appreciation for the classics that you had to read in school.

How are you enjoying I Capture the Castle? We read that as a group read last year.
