I am just about done with my World of the Lupi reread in Graphic Audio - I am on book 14. It's been weird to realize that the overarching part of the series isn't as strong as I remember. But I think part of my love for the series was that it was one of the first romantic UF series and I liked being able to get to see the continuing cast throughout the series. It's been 20 years since the first book came out. So hard to believe its been that long. (And 6 years since the last book was released - i am thinking that we'll never get book 15)

I didn't realise it's been 15 years since the first read reading planning read started in 2009 on Amazon. I was sad to see those forums disappear and glad we were able to keep virtually meeting here.

Well, I am up to book 6 in my Graphic audio World of the Lupi reread. I actually enjoyed book 2 (the one with Lily and Rule ( in wolf form) in Dis (a hell dimension). The part with them in Dis wasn't as much of the book as I'd remembered. But the audios are abridged from the originals and I did see a review for one of the books mentioning that some thread were snipped out. I do still have the dead tree books but I am not motivated reread again to see what was dropped. I just realized that I really only kept a couple of my series in paperback. (I read so much and so fast that I resold books as soon as I finished) but I do still have this, Ilona Andrew's Kate Daniels, Mejean Brooks Guardian and Iron Duke, and The Retrievers series . I kind of forgot I did, since I have moved solidly into kindle and audio.

I was wrong. The last book doesn't look like it will ever be published and i have read all the others, i just hadn't marked them on goodreads

I started listening to the graphic audios for the world of the lupi series. They are free with audible plus and this series was a favorite of mine way back when. I think i read the first book
Tempting Danger several times - including the short story that got expanded into the first book.
I enjoyed listening and immediately started the second. I'm having a little trouble getting into it - I'd forgotten that the 2nd book takes a left turn away from UF and goes to Hell ( well a hell dimension) but I'll keep going. I didn't realize that Wilks finally put out more books a couple years back and I definitely need a refresher before picking those up. And there are a couple of characters that turn up later in the series that i sm really looking forward to seeing again.

Just finished my ARC of
Schemes & Scandals - the upcoming holiday novella (october) in the Rip Through Time series. Another enjoyable entry to the series.
Thanks HappyBookWorm2020 for the heads up that this was on NetGalley

This is a "read now" on NetGalley, so no approval needed (not sure for how long)
Fated:
https://www.netgalley.com/catalog/boo...I haven't read it yet but liked the previous two in this series (They were standalone for the most most, aside from cameos)
Ghosted and
Switched - i read them as ARCs
All have a bit of paranormal in the story, the first was a ghost, the second a body swap (sounds odf but it worked) and this one is a dream man (literally)

I listened to
Maybe This Time by Cara Bastone. I thought it was really cute and both leads were adorable. It has a paranormal vibe since the leading lady who was pulled through a wormhole to the future is somehow able to call the leading man on his cellphone and has convinced him to try to keep her self in his time line from falling through in a couple of weeks. It's my favorite kind of romance since we get to see the friendship with past and future her blossom into more. Also fun is this one of those full cast performance audio books. My daughter isn't an audiobook person and still adored this book too.
I think this may be free with audible plus, but i might have gotten it on sale.

I am listening to the newest Jayne Castle Harmony book
People in Glass Houses. I forgot that I am not overly fond of the narrator that she uses for her books so we'll see how that goes.
I just finished the new Emily Henry book
Funny Story. My daughter was lucky to find the physical book at the library, since her ebook hold was a 4 month wait and so I got to read it too. (It was the first dead tree book I've read in years. ) I thought it was really cute.

Well, I am behind am 8 books behind in my yearly reading challenge for the first time in forever. And without any life challenges to blame it on, I've just been knitting/crocheting and haven't gotten in the habit of turning on an audio book. (I also have tried not too spend too much time in headphones since I don't really want to block my family out for long periods of time)
Today I did take a yarn break and read
Death Dates The Oracle since I saw that it was added to KU. These Nocturne Falls romances are super light quick reads so its nice that they're free (with KU)

And the "should" reads are always at risk from the "want" to reads.

I am almost done listening to the graphic audio of
Magic Slays - it is the first book where Roman appears. He starts out as kind of a jerk. But the scene with his family was a crack up. Somehow i had missed the release for this and the previous book, so I have really been enjoying reading these back to back. I really love the full cast, and as much as Iliked Renee Raudman's Kate I detested her Curan (and her Connor in the Nevada books). The one in these books is so much better.

I finished my ARC of
Disturbing the Dead. This one had a surprise midway about the time i had planned on going to bed, so I had to stay up longer to see how things played out. I've been liking this series with the modern police detective lead who was transported back to Victorian era Scotland into the body of a housemaid working for an unusual man who consults with the police on autopsies connected to murder cases. It has a similar vibe to the Rockton books in some ways.
