21857 I would think all of those were acceptable (I like the superhero one especially!!)

Just looking at the songs I nominated and what books I had planned to read for them:
1. Red Wine, Mistakes, Mythology by Jack Johnson - anything to do with mythology in some way.
11. Puff the Magic Dragon by Peter, Paul and Mary - something to do with dragons

Other questions:
2. Change of Seasons by Sweet Thing - Can you read a book that has a season in the title, such as The Summer Tree?
3. Africa by Wonderboom - A book by an African author?

What do others think?

21857 congrats Barbara

21857 Yes, only the months of the actual challenge count, so the current list doesn't!

21857 #next: Go to Goodreads Voice (under the Explore menu). Scroll down to Movers and Shakers. Read any book that appears on this list during the challenge. State which month it was on the list.

21857 2 chapters down. I like the story and it flows nicely but I agree the science is not well written. I understand it, but it is boring! I may be a zoologist, but still find most fields of science are actually quite interesting, so it is not normal for me to consider science boring!

21857 Lu, on the points thread you have Barbara at finished with 30 tasks read, yet in this thread she is at 29. Last I knew she still needed a book published next year and then the bonus, which can only be done last. Did I miss her getting hold of an early copy of a book? If so, congrats Barbara!

21857 I haven't read it, but it was my task. The majority of the book needs to be set at sea, so more than half.

21857 Latest update: 26 read, 5 to go!

21857 I'm busy doing some planning for the new challenges and I have a question about Making Connections.
Would it be acceptable to use the following as a connection:

Read (listened) to audiobook of both books?

I only listen to unabridged audiobooks.

21857 11. Puff the Magic Dragon by Peter, Paul and Mary

Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee,
Little Jackie Paper loved that rascal Puff,
And brought him strings and sealing wax and other fancy stuff. Oh

Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee,
Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee.

Together they would travel on a boat with billowed sail
Jackie kept a lookout perched on Puff's gigantic tail,
Noble kings and princes would bow whene'er they came,
Pirate ships would lower their flags when Puff roared out his name. Oh!

Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee,
Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee.

A dragon lives forever but not so little boys
Painted wings and giants' rings make way for other toys.
One grey night it happened, Jackie Paper came no more
And Puff that mighty dragon, he ceased his fearless roar.

His head was bent in sorrow, green scales fell like rain,
Puff no longer went to play along the cherry lane.
Without his lifelong friend, Puff could not be brave,
So Puff that mighty dragon sadly slipped into his cave. Oh!

Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee,
Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee.

21857 1. Red Wine, Mistakes, Mythology by Jack Johnson

Everybody is made of clay
That’s what they used to say
Til the truth stepped on us all
Now everything that was big is small
Were just little crying robots
Program me I wanna win the race
I wanna find the place
Where the king locked up the princess
Jump the fence and drink a little bit of

Red wine, mistakes, apologies
And it’s all just
Red wine, headaches, mythology
(repeat)

Now who is the king of the sky
Jupiter says oh me oh my oh why
Is the game always changing
I’ve been through some strangeness
What’s the matter is the feast not fat enough
Up the ladder with your feet
Reaching with your hands

You can feel it and dream it
I know you want to believe it
Just steal it anekatips
Take a piece of the sun
And drink some

Red wine, mistakes, apologies
Jack Johnson lyrics-celebrities.anekatips.com
And it’s all just
Red wine, headaches, mythology
(repeat)

Now everybody’s in the play
At least that’s what the script told me to say
I’d say: shadows cut across the heros face
He falls from grace
Until a little bird sang:
The truth is never ending
We’re just here pretending
Let’s all laugh so that we don’t cry
Let’s all lift our glasses up to the sky
For some

Red wine, mistakes, apologies
And it’s all just
Red wine, headaches, mythology
(repeat)

21857 Oh, that sounds like fun!

21857 I love the idea of a Somer challenge! One of the bonuses of my job is that I get to spend every summer at the beach. We can't take time off during peak season, but the beach is across the road so I go swimming every morning before work.

I haven't got to the while pin thing yet, so a challenge might be am excuse to start.

I would personally not sign up for a romance challenge, if I followed that link right, but that's just me!
