I know. I was just feeling overwhelmed and vented. I had spent hours moving big heavy rocks and digging up plants to find out I did not need to do that, so I incredibly frustrated. Thanks for the sensible words, they do help. I did feel better after fencing in the evening. It is amazing how much stress can be relieved by stabbing someone with a sword.

Why does everything happen at once... All these awesome challenges mean I just want to read books, people keep phoning me to sign papers for the new house, I am supposed to pack most of my house by mid month so my parents have space when they arrive, I signed up for NaNo and have all these people bugging me about how many words I have written (um, none) and to top it off, we found out on Monday that the construction team arrive at work TODAY and I must move all the animals for them to do the work. I don't even know which proposals we made were approved for the construction so I don't know which animals need to be moved (not that there is space for any of them anyway!) Oh, and we still don't have IOD but I must move venomous snakes and a crocodile!!!!

OK, I quit. I read about 15% but it was just too boring. I kept coming back and trying, but it was still boring. I feel that if I give a book fair chance and don't enjoy it, I might as well stop and try something else that I will enjoy.

I have a to buy shelf where I list all the books I want to buy, such as new ones in a series I own or the ones I am missing in that series or favourite books that I Lent out and never got back!

Oh ha. I forgot about doing a challenge twice! Visiting Old friends should be easy to get through twice!

I go by both names, some people call me Fiona, others Varla. So I know both count for me.

yeah, my first name is Varla. I have pretty much decided to not even try that one. I did find one with Fiona as character and another Fiona author. Lots of books about people who work with animals or by people who work with animals, so career is easy!

Guess I won't be using names much in the challenge. I don't have the most common names and unless I go with Steven King, I don't know of any other options.

For Me, Myself & I do these qualify:

If the main character has my dream career, i.e. not the one I am currently following?

If one of the main characters is a King or has a nickname King and my name is King?

*thinking* If I use Tom Holt instead, it counts for Visiting Old Friends too...

Waiting till 1 October will mean this challenge is over! It is nearly a year away...
