21857 @ Barbara: I am aware that some people don't want to use Facebook for whatever reason, which is why I added the alternate clause to my proposal. That way we won't keep anyone out. It is ready enough to state at the beginning of your planning what alternative site you are using.

21857 Yes, it is possible for people to use different sites, but I think it would be nice if we could mostly use one site, as it is then much easier to go and check what everyone is doing. I have created a folder in the groups Facebook group and am uploading a test picture to it now.

Suggestion: We use Facebook and, those who don't have a Facebook account and would rather not have one, choose another option and clearly state in your planning that you are using whatever other option.

21857 What about a Facebook group? You can change settings like who can add photos etc and you can make the group private so you can only see limited information if you are not in it.

21857 I think we should use a board where we post the pictures to. If you have a slow connection, even a collection of small pictures can really slow down the page. I wouldn't want to prevent anyone from being part of the challenge just because they had a slow internet connection.

I also think we need something that can be set as private (you can only access it if you have the address), so we don't have other random people adding things which are not related to the challenge.

I personally don't know which site would work best add I generally just use Facebook.

21857 I have no objection to signing up to whatever site, I just can't comment on the suitability of pinterest as I haven't joined as yet.

I love taking photos so this will be a new fun way to combine the two interests. I have a few friends who will definitely be roped in to assist in various ways, including making props!

Busy trying to figure out if I can do a fire version of Darkest Minds or if I will have to stick with the tamer play dough option...

21857 Yeah, I like your list because it gives more options.

Can you do any editing on the photos, such as take two photos and combine them? For example, if the sharks don't cooperate. I take a pic of me swimming and Photoshop it onto a pic of a shark coming towards the surface.

I haven't yet succumbed to the pinterest thing as yet, but see the benefits of posting photos elsewhere.

I am already figuring out how to do some books. This is going to be lots of fun!

21857 I like the points idea!

Yay, another excuse to do my commercial divers so I can go out with the researchers and then read Jaws again!

Because Pratchett is awesome! It's not like we can read Parasol Protectorate...
