21857 Awesome. Jon Snow is my absolute favourite.

21857 I haven't decided yet but I am leaning strongly towards not. I feel that my life is busy enough right now and the timing is not ideal for me.

21857 Hmm, yeah, I guess it doesn't work.

21857 22. Read a book in which the main character goes to live or already lives in a foreign country. -They cannot be tourist/ on holiday etc. And by foreign, I mean foreign to them. Not to you.

Would Into the Wild count? It is about a house cat that goes to live amoung the wild cats in the forest. It is a foreign place to him.

21857 Thanks. That is what I thought. Lawhead's books often have an unusual element so I will rather go with Riordan as his adult books look like plain mystery type and I have House of Hades to read!!

21857 Thats exactly what I was thinking but I will probably use Rick Riordan instead as I am more sure that he fits.

21857 1. Read a book by an author who has published both realist/contemporary fiction and non-realist/speculative fiction (science fiction, fantasy, magical realism, etc.)

Would Stephen R. Lawhead count?

21857 I am keen to read Under the Dome.

21857 Similar is fine. Marie Lu is great. Mark counts.

If Marie Lu doesn't have anything you want to read, then surely between Mark and Christine there should be someone.

21857 Thanks!

21857 Thanks. Physically, she is fine but obviously it takes allot of emotional healing to work through after you get to that point.

21857 Finished. Right now, I have no words. My friend tried to commit suicide on Friday so the ending hit too close to home for me.

Yes, that's fine.

21857 Oo, I share a birthday with Alexander the Great, Edu ND Hilary and one of the Llewellyn-Davis boys who were the inspiration for Peter Pan!
On the author side we have Cormac McCarthy and that seems to be it from a brief search. His stuff is not what I would normally choose but doesn't seem like too bad an option. Any suggestions on which book to read?
Oct 22, 2013 08:53PM

21857 I think that is acceptable
Oct 22, 2013 01:24AM

21857 Yay for you!

21857 23. Read a book that contains both real and fictional locations.
