I think so. I first heard about it in a kid-lit group.

We haven't started a thread for MySpace users yet.
For one of the longest lists of goodreads authors on twitter, there's Dee Marie's post from the Tips & Tricks group: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...
Congrats on publishing your books, Robert. I know exactly what you mean about having several books started but not really doing anything with them. I was the same way until last year. :o)Welcome to the group and goodreads!

Hooray!"
That's great, Sharon! Congrats!
(What's your secret? My books aren't doing so well there...)
Hello! On every book detail page goodreads provides a link: "recommend it"
I know some authors have no problem using this feature to recommend their own books to their entire list of friends. I have not been able to convince myself that recommending your own book this way isn't spamming. All authors are biased; all authors love their "babies" and want the world to know it.
Here's my solution: In our "Authors Read Authors" program, many of us have agreed to read each others e-books and give a fair, honest review. Perhaps we can go a step further than that. If we really enjoyed the book, gave it 4 or 5 stars, can we use this feature to recommend to our list of friends here on goodreads? Or at least those friends we think would enjoy the book? Basically, we'd be helping each to get even more exposure.
Let me know what you think of this.
Bow? Where the heck did bow come from? Perhaps my mind isn't working quite as properly as I thought...I'm a girl. Girls curtsy.
I am finding myself oddly wired tonight...this morning. My book isn't even listed with B&N so you don't have to worry about posting there. :o)
I'll email Spellbound right over. Poor baby could use some nice words. It got an icky 1-star review on Amazon a few months ago...

Everyone: We talked about reviews and stuff but what about Amazon? I left one for Madison's book on Goodreads and Amazon, as well as posting it to my blog (I tend to leave reviews all over the place when I do one), but I can't remember if we ever specified places to leave the reviews--and I'm too lazy to go back and look. If anyone who reads one of my books could possibly also add their review to Amazon, that would be much appreciated. Thanx, all!
I'm so happy to have you here, Bernadette! Welcome! :o)Terrie, you're so clever! "I'm, Author...*dramatic pause*...the author."
Your dad is Thomas too, huh? Do you think we could be twins, separated at birth? I mean, the resemblance is uncanny. :oD
I just got such a kick out of it that I thought it would be fun to share with all of cyberspace...or at least my little corner of it. :oP
My dad's name is Thomas and my dad is one of my favorite people. So I have to say that the name Thomas is right up there with "Author" for me. :o)
