That would be great. All books are shipped to the home address of their donation coordinator since they cannot reveal the address of the shelter. I will DM you the address. :)

Hi everyone! I just finished speaking to someone who volunteers with an abused women's shelter in Massachusetts. They are looking for book donations for their residents. Here is her message:
Hi I don’t know if you can help me or not but I volunteer at a battered women’s shelter and they are always looking for books to read if anyone would like to donate their books pm me and I’ll give u my address - some of these women can’t leave the house or are afraid to leave the house - a few authors and some other people have sent me books to bring to them - if you can’t no worries.
They cannot share much information about their safe house for the protection of the residents (which from women's shelter I have dealt with personally, is VERY true). She did share that they are currently housing 6 children between the ages of 6-17 and 7 women. Their funds for recreation are VERY limited so they depend heavily on donations from the public. She said they accept ALL genres including erotica and books with trigger themes. The women and children are appreciative for the chance to escape in a book when they are trapped inside. Once the women are done with the books, they send them to other women's safe houses in the state.
If you are interested in donating a book or two, please message me here or by email (ericagrahamauthor@gmail.com) and I will send you the address for the contact.

Kay and I have been working hard on the Navigating Indieworld Facebook group to get more readers and authors actively involved. We have seen a consistent increase in members and are having a successful first blogger takeover today! She has been sharing some great blog recommendations for readers and authors as well as giving tips to get your books read by bloggers. Good things happening! If anyone is interested in an author or blogger feature day or in sponsoring a giveaway, let Kay or I know. :)

Liked and followed on FB, V.A.!

We have our first blogger takeover today! She will be posting all day. Stop by the page if you are interested in seeing how this works. The author feature days work the same way. Here is the link if you need it:

Sweet! That looks incredible!

Thanks, Dale. Lol. Graduate school gave me a lot of practice. :)

Been catching up with everyone over the weekend. I am close. :) Here is my new article. You get to see my drawing skills of the anatomy of the swallowing mechanism. For some reason, unsplash doesn't seem to consider anatomy sketches to be important in stock photos. Guess they aren't as nerdy...I mean "cool" as I am. haha!

Our first weekly giveaway went up on the group page today if anyone is interested in seeing an example. We should have our first blogger feature next week and are looking for authors who would like to be featured on Thursdays. :) We could also use some help boosting these posts. If you like and comment on the blogger/author features and giveaway posts, the posts will be boosted in visibility. Thanks!

Shared. And shared on the Navigating Indieworld page too. ;)

Done. Good luck with your project. :)

Thank you for helping spread the word, Angel!

Be sure to contact us if any of you would like a weekly feature spot. Also, if anyone knows any authors or bloggers who may be interested, please have them check out our page and contact us. If you want to be a featured author or blogger, you are welcome to do a giveaway on your day, but it is not a requirement. :) We want to use this platform to give the wonderful authors and bloggers in the indie community some extra visibility.

New rules and schedule are posted in the Facebook group!

Welcome, Rosie! Followed both. :)

Plan to catch up later tonight. Here is a new one from me:

Wow, M.J.! That is wonderful news. Congrats!

Way to go, Carole. I have been on BookWorks for a while, but need to get more involved again.

That is wonderful news, Anna! Congrats to you and Marie. :)
