This is such a nice, supportive group!

What is so good, Carole, is that you have passed the support which you receive down the line to anyone with the need to pick it up.

Well done, Alex. Sounds good to me. Once a month (or sometimes more) I have a 'day off' marked in the diary. In reality, this day off gets used for catching up on what I haven't done. Useful though. And I try to make Sundays a day of rest. It depends on whether catching up on Goodreads is considered 'resting' or not!
I refuse to put anything other than 'writing' on two days a week and the third is 'writing/marketing'. It doesn't always work but mostly it does.

I hope you got to tick all the things off the list!

Here's your reminder, Alex.
Mine are always in my diary and there's something I didn't do yesterday that must be done today!

I've got as far as bookmarking this page!!! Thanks, Carole.

I'm really very, very pleased to see you doubled your money, Alex - that's how it's supposed to work. And you work at it harder than I do.

I've had my historical romance on a KCD in the last few days and I haven't made back what I paid, sniff, sniff and boo hoo.
Bargain Booksy - I paid $35 and it achieved 5 sales and 1 for #3 in the series (also reduced). I admit I didn't go for the more expensive genre.
Ereader news today was $65 and achieved 22 sales on the day and about 4 for #2 and #3 in the series.
This was probably my worst KCD.
Marketing is getting more and more difficult and I haven't got time to spend on it at the moment as another book is under way and that comes first. I just need another body and brain, that's all.

Off to a cold start here in the UK. Temps at 0 centigrade (32f) or just above and howling north-easterly winds (they're the worst for where I live - and most of the rest of the UK too. I have dug out my Aran jersey to go over 2 other layers and my boiler is complaining about being asked to do more and faster. Serves me right for living on the east coast.

2021 – Surely not
We made it! We’ve got past 1984, the millennium doom mongers, and I hope you’ve avoided the virus too. 2021 might be the year for ‘all systems go’. I’m hoping for bags of energy. I’m off to a good start, I’ve published my January blog post on the first day of the month!
Here it is:
Pedalling to Plutohttps://www.goodreads.com/author/show...I hope you take a look and say hello and happy New Year to some of our Goodreads’ Friends. (Yes, I give them capital letters.)
My best wishes to all readers, writers, illustrators and anyone else who’s passing through.

Good wishes to all for 2021

It can help to remember that even traditional classics have updated covers thrust upon them. Dickens' A Christmas Carol has several different covers.

Ah... cool, anyone who says it must be cool. I must remember to say it.

If you upload your books to Amazon yourself, it is easy to swap covers at any time, one month the yellow, one month the blue!

Ooh... that's difficult. I like them both. I particularly like the one with the moon but that might be because I do so like the moon! The other one is
intriguing and stands out equally well.

I think you'd better start getting used to it, Dale!

It’s December and if you haven’t been given an Advent Calendar then it’s very easy to create your own version to shine out into the darkness. I’m not good at crafts so you’ll undoubtedly do better than I will. And, of course, you’ll also get a Sage Saying, a Jolly Joke and a Handy Hint if you follow this link:
https://www.goodreads.com/author_blog...And there’s scintillating news on how far I’ve got with my new book. Ahem!

I watched a programme on the Mayflower arrival the other day - fascinating and inspiring and heart wrenching.
I've visited Plymouth and seen the re-enactments in the village - amazing.
Have a happy day.

Missing the puppy, I started to reflect (very dangerous) on what little Rosie taught me.
https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...And as the title of this post says, there's more to my blog posts than puppy ramblings. There's handy hints, jokes, wisdom in words and hopefully it won't send you to sleep.
Also, I wouldn't want you to miss out on my latest book's bargain price of 0.99 from 20th - 27th November.

After all, if you ever get stuck for something to say, you could ramble on about what lies beyond the grave. I bet no one else will start a discussion on that over Christmas dinner.

Thanks, Dale, I've noted it in my diary!
