Congratulations! Very pleased for you.

Thank you, Angel :o)

How do you make God laugh? I've a feeling I made him laugh a lot when I packed my bag and went to look after a puppy too young to go into kennels. I had such plans...
https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...Please take a look - despite the lockdown, the election, and the dark nights this really is a wonderful world.

A big welcome to my Goodreads Friend, PL! Good to see you here.

I've got an alert for Dale's and yours, Sam! Yay!

I've just noticed this thread. Although it says that I am following this discussion (instant email) I haven't got any alerts. So sorry I haven't kept up.
I managed to clap for you, Dale. At last!

Thank you. It is in fact more like minding a small zoo. Tank of fish, pond with fish, guinea pigs, stick insect hotels (yes two) and visiting birds.
And the worst Internet connection imaginable.

Just building my site, Dale, and by golly does it take some concentration. Nearly there, but have to stop for the puppy sitting.

Thanks, Anna! I probably should do that, too, when I have a s..."Oh I do understand! However, it makes a welcome break from brain ache.

Thank you so much, Dale. I've earmarked this thread for studying thoroughly once the website has been built. I've ticked off the 'build a blog'. I know the email list is vital and I am a slouch.
Going puppy sitting next week, no writing related stuff then. Excuses, excuses.

Hah! Yeah, I heard that years ago somewhere and it got lost in my dust. Thanks for that.

It's a useful word, it can mean insane or eccentric. Comes from India originally and got picked up by the Army there.
Shall we be eccentric rather than insane?

Feedback - Any site that opens with a genuine free gift catches the browser's interest tenfold.
It's clean, bright and does the job well and has interesting articles too. I didn't see it before so I cannot compare.

Thanks, Dale. I'm only able to reassure myself that I'm not doolally because I do all my own editing, formatting and publishing - so long as it's on Amazon! Amazon make it very easy these days but it used to be tricky.
I expect it's quite nice to be doolally - I look forward to it but not yet!

Oh groan... a very kind person pointed out that there's a better, direct link to the sparkling new blog I've created on Goodreads. You may already have closed this post down and I wouldn't blame you, but I am trying, really I am.

I expect you all have a blog or two or more. This is my first blogging attempt and it's here on Goodreads:
https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...You have to scroll down half a mile.
Now I know you all have heaps to do but if you want to get to know me better (maybe you don't but could you just pretend, please) you could take a look :o) And bit by bit you'll find out more than I should probably be telling.

I've bookmarked this thread for when I get around to building an email list and I see it is under the heading of Pay it Forward.
So I am off to thank Dale for his hard work on this thread, also Carole and Alex by 'liking' some of their work/reviews.
Anyone want to join in and thank those who unstintingly give of their time to help others?

My thanks to all who contributed to this thread. I had it in my diary to attend to sending my paperbacks off to the British Library, and at last I am doing just that. I needed (only other writers will understand the need) to finish the book I was writing first.
As for getting things into libraries - I haven't heard from the County Library - shame on them. Months went by and then the corona virus shutdown came along. Sigh. I'll put it in the diary again...

lol!

Thanks for all your hard work in so many ways - and also for the books!
