A thought occurred to me: this time 3 months ago my country (UK) was totally divided between those who wanted to Leave the EU and those who did not. Demonstrations, anger at the 'other side' and so on. Very bad. Now three months later, we seem to have forgotten the Brexit thing altogether and we are all pulling together - completely united except for a very, very few.
What a great turnaround and with less energy expended on politics, we can use this lockdown time to read and write! Something good...

Someone in another group is asking for writers to put short stories forward for an anthology.

Oh this is such good news for us all - well, especially you, but you can see we are all enjoying it. Thank you!!!!

For those whose eyes get tired, it can be really good to listen to these in lunch breaks or in the evening.

It doesn't matter where you're from, you might be having to stay home or maybe your life has been turned upside down with this tricky Coronavirus. Well, here's something that might help with taking your mind off the troubles:
Amazon #1 Best Seller in Books>Romance>Time Travel
A time travel romance : Laura finds herself washed ashore from a shipwreck early in the 21st century - she'd stormed off from her betrothed in 1814 so she's somewhat confused as to how this could happen. She likes her new life but she realizes she has made a terrible mistake.
Meanwhile, Xandra even hates her name as well as all the other bothersome things of modern day life and Laura happens to notice this. Could she...? Yep, she could, and she does. Back goes Xandra to 1814 only to be met with suspicious travelling companions, a highwayman and a delicious man who is still mourning the death of the girl he loved.
How do these two cope with their puzzling new lives? And how does Laura manage not to upset the course of history despite her meddling? And oh boy can she meddle!
If you like a romance with a little bit of mystery, a touch of humour and something of the thriller, then please grab a copy and visit another time, another place.
0.99 until 26th March or FREE on Kindle Unlimited
I don’t write children’s books so I’ve added this one for all ages from Carole P. Roman in case you are self-isolated and have children at home:

Oh Susannah: It's in the Bag
Join Susannah and her friends in this story sure to charm young readers everywhere.
"Once again Roman shows her versatility as a children's writer, With skill, she writes an entertaining as well as a comforting tale about what happens when you keep secrets and burdens hidden inside." - Patricia Lynn Dompieri, Lemon Bee & Other Peculiar Tales
It's got loads of good reviews and is even available as an audiobook.

I'm not keeping up with the news much at the moment (trying to catch up on all-things-writing) but I heard that one of our MPs has the virus and she is a novelist too. Maybe she has only been tested, I'll find out more later today. Imagine the virus going around Parliament and from there to every constituency in the country.

However, as the Brits on here are saying, and as everyone everywhere is saying, cases are multiplying.
Shopping: not a loo roll in sight but, tee hee, I discovered a forgotten stock when I started packing to move and I have about 80 - should last a while... There was no pasta which came as a surprise. A few other things like hand wipes were also out of stock. Unfortunately, because of the move, I ran down my freezer and other stocks to nil or very low, so I have done a hasty restock in case I have to self isolate. Friends visited last night and they've been on a plane but were not at all worried. I felt a little bad when I washed my hands thoroughly after they'd gone.
I hope those of you who have to travel, especially those who commute on overcrowded transport, will stay safe. I hope that as the warmer weather comes in the northern hemisphere this nasty little beastie will become toast.

Though I think any attempt I might make at playing golf or tennis might make you laugh more.

Amazon UK used to be in profit but is now running at £200ish in the red and the US has improved a little but is still about $200 overspend on income. And that is the cost price of the book, not what the author received! These figures are over about 16 months or more.
However, this does not include Kindle Unlimited reads and that seems to keep Hide in Time afloat in the UK.
I just tell myself it's a cheaper hobby than golf or tennis.

Mind you, at the moment I'm not writing at all. Can't wait to get into the new place and settled and then I can tap away in silence and immerse myself in another world.

I try to start days with making sure that each minute counts. I am very strict with that. My writing slots are very precious.
However - interruptions! Interruptions are the bane of many people's lives, so I insert 15 minutes each morning for interruptions, which inevitably turn out to be 45 minutes. Sigh.
This response is written in tea break time!

I'm going to bookmark this thread and hopefully come back to it after our house move finally goes through (still no date).

The Goodreads' Amazon UK link to your Pluto Diaries book isn't working. I thought you might like to know.

However, I now know why I slip off being fed with posts. This morning I have nothing at all from Goodreads and I should at least have these 3 new ones since I posted here. But then that word 'spam' came to mind - and there you all were, in my spam folder. Cheek.
