193869 I sat down and read a few books this week:

X-O #2
Black Hammer #9
The Old Guard #4
Rat Queens #3
The Amory Wars: Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV #2
Jean Grey #2

Rat Queens feels very forced. Which is kind of sad.

The Amory Wars: Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV is a wild, context heavy story. I need to go back and re-read all of the old Amory Wars books...

Jean Grey #2 was fun. Just plain fun. Damn you Dennis Hopeless! You got me with this book!

I am looking forward to Iceman #1 today (gonna read when I get home) which was my pick on the show this week (the show also featured current Punisher artist Matt Horak, NBD... lol).

193869 IRCB Episode 117 was super fantastic this week, specifically because we had creator Matt Horak on the show (current artist on The Punisher with Becky Cloonan).

Check out the show and let us know what you thought about it!

Episode 117 | Special Guest: Matt Horak
193869 Gotta go with Fante Bukowski by Noah Van Sciver.

Oh. All Digital. I don't buy Marvel books in physical form unless it's a cover I love. Especially since the digital redeem code thing became stupid.

193869 It used to be "pond of X-books" but at this point "sea" is more accurate.

193869 So, X-Men Blue is pretty much my jam. #3 had a FANTASTIC story. and #4 has started a fun new arc as well. Cullen Bunn is kicking serious ass with this series.

I read Jughead #15 which was anew romp, but I'm sad to see Ryan North off of the book. His Jughead was great. Nonetheless, this book continues to be a lighthearted dash of fun in my sea of X-books and other more "serious" comics.

193869 And by Brian and Kate, I mean Brian and our newest regular: Rene!

193869 Looking forward to talking about this with Brian and Kate tomorrow! :D

Make sure to check out the episode on Wednesday!

193869 Picked up Night Owl Society #1 on a whim yesterday (the art sold me) and enjoyed it quite a bit. The story is fun, reminds me of 4 Kids Walk Into A Bank, and should be a nice mini-series to keep up on.

193869 Welcome, Peter!

If you're gonna read one Marvel book, start at the best in recent history: Hawkeye by Matt Fraction and David Aja. It's one of the best.

Wytches, Vol. 1 is hands down my favorite horror series. It feels like it's been on hiatus for eternity!"

WYTCHES IS TOO SCARY! TOO SCARY, I SAY!

193869 Got myself caught up on Uber: Invasion. This book is scary, scary, scary. Highly recommended if you can deal with historical fiction and Nazis...

193869 This book is one of my favorites (I think Spurrier is just one of my favorite writers...). Super duper excited to talk about this on the show.

My inspiration for Rayven Choi was a study abroad trip that I took back in 2000. I was only there for a short time but the trip had such an effect on me that when I returned to the state..."

Wow! That's quite a process. Thanks for the answer.

193869 Hey Shequeta!

Thanks for doing the Q&A!

Two questions:

What was your inspiration for Rayven Choi?
What was the creation process like for this book?

193869 Just got myself caught up on Flash last night. I really, really enjoy this show. I'm attached to the characters and I really wish Supergirl would just join the team permanently--or on a more regular cadence. The only downside of this show is that I wish the writers would do more with Caitlin. She only serves the role as supporting doctor/scientist/question-asker and it's really a bummer. They did more with her back when her husband was around, but I want her to be as fleshed out as Cisco.

Otherwise, this show is magical.

DUUUUUUUUUDE! This is one of my favorite Non-X-Men "events" ever! Abnett and Lanning are masters of cosmic storytelling.

I feel like the Iron Fist character isn't doing so hot lately. Kind of a bummer to hear you didn't like the first issue. I'll just hold my Brubaker/Fraction/Aja books close to my heart and remember the good ol' days...
