It's a special kind of madness DC reserved for the first 4 volumes of WW Rebirth.
193869 Jessica wrote: "I've recently had enough time on my hands to go through the books I already have (such as Wonder Woman, Volume 1: The Lies, which is next on my list)."

Rucka's latest WW run was collected very strangely. To meet the biweekly schedule, Rucka alternated between two different stories with two different artists. So when DC went to collect it they collected the odd numbered issues in one trade and the evens in another. However, the stories play off one another and I think the story is best read in the order the issues were released.

OOH! I didn't realize Locke and Key were out this weekend.
193869 Just got back from this week's comic book run:

Going to the Chapel #1
The Man Who Fucked Up Time #1
X-Men + Fantastic Four #1
Marauders #7
Daphne Byrne # 2

I finished Going to the Chapel and the The Man who Fucked Up Time. Both are excellent.

How is that bundle? I thought about getting it myself.
193869 Mike wrote: "Hey Chad and Kyle - that looks like a mistake on my part. The book Kyle linked is correct. My apologies.

I’ll update the reading challenge with the correct book!"

Thanks Mike! That's good news.
193869 Mike wrote: "Just a heads up folks! The originally linked D.Gray Man book was incorrect. It has been fixed in this thread and in the Master thread, please make sure to update your comment!"

Yay! I can read all the books now! Thanks Mike and René.
193869 Kyle wrote: "Knocking one out for the 2020 challenge: D.Gray-man, Vol. 1"

That's a different book. The one for the challenge is D.Gray-Man Reverse Vol. 1. I was looking for it earlier today and couldn't find it anywhere. I wish people would quit picking books that are impossible to find.
193869 I went on a reading tear the last few days.

Red Rising: Sons of Ares, Vol. 2: Wrath★★★
Artifact One★★★
Orphan Age★★★
Nils: The Tree of Life★★★
Into the Fire★★★★★
Stumptown, Vol. 1: The Case of the Girl Who Took Her Shampoo (But Left her Mini)★★★★
Stumptown, Vol. 2: The Case of the Baby in the Velvet Case★★★★
Animosity, Vol. 3: The Swarm★★★★★ - I love this series.
Animosity: The Rise★★★
Faithless, Vol. 1★★ - Weird sexually explicit book mixed with a bit of horror. It was terrible.
Babyteeth, Vol. 1: Born★★★★★ - Donny Cates's best work
Animosity: Evolution, Vol. 1: Lex Animata★★★★
Animosity: Evolution Vol. 2: Lex Machina★★★
Peter Cannon: Thunderbolt★★★ - Cool premise, taking place after the end of Watchmen but quickly fizzles out.
Uncanny X-Men: Wolverine and Cyclops, Vol. 1★★★ - Almost like an alternate reality story because you know none of these many deaths would stick.
Uncanny X-Men: Wolverine and Cyclops, Vol. 2★★
The Backstagers, Vol. 3: Encore★★

Have you read further than this first volume? It's a fantastic series.

Welcome Frankie, I like the Legion logo. I see you're in Rocky Point. I'm in Ronkonkoma. Is there a particular comic book shop you go to in the area.
193869 Brandon wrote: "I'm finally digging into some Star Wars comics! Read the first volume of Doctor Aphra and apparently what comes next is a crossover with the main Star Wars title, so I'm going through that now too (starting the second volume now). Doctor Aphra is off to a very good start and I can't wait to get back to it!"

FYI, the Star Wars title crosses over with Darth Vader before the Doctor Aphra crossover. For that matter, Dr. Aphra was a supporting character in Darth Vader first. I suggest reading it, it's great.

193869 Yet more DC shows on CW. This time Superman and Lois. I do enjoy Tyler Hoechlin as Superman.

193869 Why not just let the group vote on the book from these nominations like normal?

I do think only three of the nominations came from people who finished the challenge.

193869 Apparently the rumors were wrong.

DC GOES 5 FOR 5 IN 2020 RENEWALS

The Flash - RENEWED
Batwoman - RENEWED
Legends of Tomorrow - RENEWED
Supergirl - RENEWED
Black Lightning - RENEWED

I wish they'd at least stagger these shows so they are not all on at the same time of the year. It's exhausting to try and keep up.
193869 Whitney wrote: "This week my goal is to read the Superman: Man of Steel run. I've already started the first volume and I'm in love. The art alone is so nostalgic."

I'm curious to see what you think. I just went through and read them myself over the last couple of months.
193869 Whitney wrote: "I have a few characters I'm interested in like WW, Batman, and Nightwing, so I will definitely follow them to the present."

WW has had a lot of ups and downs. Her history was rebooted after Crisis. I'd check out the George Perez, William Messner Loeb, Phil Jimenez, Greg Rucka, Gail Simone, Brian Azzarello, and then Greg Rucka again runs. Some of these weren't collected all of the way. Have you looked into DC Universe? The last time I looked they had added thousands of issues. They may have the entire run of WW.

DC has been collecting the post Crisis runs of Batman and Detective this year in their Caped Crusader and Dark Detective series of trade paperbacks. I'd start there. After that you can pick and choose what you want to read with the gazillion Batman collections. I really like Alan Grant's writing on Batman from that era. Once Knightfall happens Bat titles all become about events which can get really annoying.

If you want to read about Nightwing, you should probably start with the New Teen Titans. Eventually Robin becomes Nightwing during a crossover with Batman in "A Lonely Place of Dying". Many years later Nightwing leaves the Titans and gets his own solo book written by Chuck Dixon. It's great. They were just recollected. But then there's about 70 issues afterward that have never been collected. DC Universe again would probably be your best bet. Or come to my house and dig through the comics in my basement. ;) Once Nightwing gets his own title his continuity is easy to follow for the most part except for when he crosses over into Batman a couple of times.

193869 Tom wrote: "Rumor has it Supergirl is going to be cancelled after this season or next."

That wouldn't surprise me. The sheer amount of DC shows on the CW is overwhelming to try and keep up.
193869 I think I'll recommend Atomic Robo and Other Strangeness. This book is so much damn fun. It's the fourth volume in the series, but all of the stories are stand alone and self-contained. You don't need to have read anything else. Think Hellboy and the BPRD with super-science instead of the supernatural. The only thing you need to know is that Robo was created by Nikola Tesla in the 1920's. The whole series is available on Comixology Unlimited.
