I thought the Russo brothers did a fantastic job of balancing all the characters. And after watching this, Spider-Man should ALWAYS be an Avenger. Tom Holland was a highlight of the movie. Oh, and Pirate Angel should be Thor's new name in perpetuity.
Here's my reviewI loved how Lemire payed homage to specific golden age characters, but with a twist. Glorious Gail was my favorite, being the reverse of Captain Marvel.

Super Sons is the best comic DC is publishing.
Mine are in long boxes in the basement. They were originally alphabetized by title. At some point I fell way behind and anything after that point is just in the box by when I bought it. I'd love to go through and organize and catalog them but I haven't came across any software to make it easy to catalog everything. If I had access to a feed of all (or most) comics, I'd write an app to do it myself.
Justin wrote: "Yeah i noticed that, it's on like #44 already. I've picked up the some issues on comixology from the start of the current Grodd storyline from #39 but wanted to see if i needed to read anything prior before diving in. I may pick up the trades for the volumes up to #39 then so im not missing anything. Cheers "The volumes loosely build off one another. For the current storyline with the negative speed force, you'd only need to read volumes 4 and 5. But a character from volume 1 does reappear on the last page of volume 5.
Justin wrote: "I'm also wanting to jump into the current run of The Flash does anyone know if its currently accessible as not picked up flash issue since Francis Manapuls run on the series.."You can easily jump on with the start of The Flash Rebirth. It's good and sometimes great. I think there are 5 trades out now. That biweekly schedule really pumps out the issues.
Mike wrote: "Even though I JUST read this: Planetary, Volume 1: All Over the World and Other Stories"Planetary always warrants a re-read.
Becca wrote: "I just finished Scarlet Witch #1. It's got me interested, so I'll be reading more of this one!"Have you read Ms. Marvel? I think you'd really enjoy it given what else you've been reading.
Domino is just a mutant with luck powers. Most of her appearances are in X-Force if you want to read her past exploits.
Francis wrote: "I'm reading The Wicked + The Divine Vol. 5 Imperial Phase at the moment, and I'm going to start Pretty Deadly Vol. 1 for the Book of the Month thread. I also need to catch up with Sex Criminals #23..."Wicked + Divine has gotten so complicated I no longer know what the hell is going on.
Becca wrote: "I guess I'm contradicting myself now, because I said that I preferred DC over Marvel. But, I started watching Jessica Jones, and I really want to start reading the series. "That's pretty easy to do, there hasn't been that many books with her in them and I think Marvel just re-released all the old ones again. The confusing part is the series are named 3 different things and each series has been collected multiple times collecting a different amount of issues each time.
Alias
The Pulse
Jessica Jones
This week I've been going back and reading All Star Western on hoopla, reading the latest Green Lantern GNs. And then I was recently introduced to Gunnerkrigg Court and have burned through the first 4 collections this week. It's a lot of fun.
I think all of the Grant Morrison Batman stuff can be read on its own straight through. Then you can go back and read some of the Detective stuff if you want. A lot of it is definitely worth reading, especially the Paul Dini and Scott Snyder written issues.
Sammy wrote: "I Read this a while ago and it was confusing. I may need to go read it again, I see myself getting something different out of it this time. Great art and I love the color palette."I didn't like it either when I first read it a year or so ago. But I do plan on rereading it again along with volume 2. I just saw the library has both of them waiting for me.
Paul wrote: "Okay, I am 90% sure that this was the first comic I bought off the rack at the grocery store: Blasters Special #1, a random tie in to DC's "Invasion" event. Cover dated March 1989, so I must have b..."I'd love to see an Invasion omnibus. They've done it for some of the more recent company wide events.
Kait wrote: "Do you know if they still make Western comics?"They do on occasion. DC put out All Star Western during the new 52. I've been reading those off hoopla this week actually. It's a continuation of the Jonah Hex series from about 10 years ago. Those are on hoopla as well. They are OK.
East of West is kind of a Western / Alternate History mashup.
Marvel put out 1872 as part of the Secret Wars spinoffs.
Becca wrote: "I'm on a Batgirl kick. I recently came across Batgirl: Stephanie Brown, Volume 1. Seriously, this is a must read! I'd love to read more of her backstory as Spoiler and Robin. Anyone..."She was a reoccurring character in the Robin books that Chuck Dixon wrote. She also features prominently in Batman: War Games.
Becca wrote: "This was motivated by my love for the Wonder Woman movie. I started with Wonder Woman New 52 (Cliff Chiang is amazing, btw)Have you read Greg Rucka's original run and Gail Simone's on Wonder Woman? While different than the new 52 book, they are quite good.
Dominick wrote: "Hmm.. Something else to pick up? I would easily recommend Neil Gaiman's SANDMAN as a great next direction. Also, James Robinson's STARMAN run. "Those are two of my all time favorites. I'd also throw in Joe Hill's Locke & Key, Jonathan Hickman's East of West, Greg Rucka's Lazarus and Queen and Country, Cullen Bunn's Sixth Gun, and any of the many series by Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips.
