Yeah, I'd start with Giant Size X-Men #1 and then X-Men #94, that's the relaunch with the new team and new issues (Uncanny X-Men had become a reprint title before that.) and go on from there. X-Men Epic Collection Vol. 5: Second Genesis

193869 Pulp by Ed Brubaker Pulp by Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips ★★★★ - A down on your luck writer and former outlaw goes for one last big score.
The Watcher by Ralph Tedesco The Watcher★★★★ - Some good old 80's horror movie goodness.
The Ride Burning Desire by Doug Wagner The Ride: Burning Desire by Doug Wagner ★★★★ - A crazy, fucked up thrill ride.

I haven't read it yet. I was trade waiting it.

193869 It's Your Funeral! by Emily Riesbeck It's Your Funeral★★★ - A workplace comedy set in the afterlife.
We Should Improve Society Somewhat A Collection of Comics by Matt Bors by Matt Bors We Should Improve Society Somewhat: A Collection of Comics by Matt Bors★★ - Political satire of events I'd like to not be reminded of.
The Spirit An 80th Anniversary Celebration by Will Eisner The Spirit: An 80th Anniversary Celebration★★★ - Some Spirit stories from the most influential comic artist to have lived.
Dragonfly and Dragonflyman Volume One by Tom Peyer Dragonfly and Dragonflyman★★★ - Two different Batman archetypes on parallel worlds living parallel lives. One Adam West, one a grim and gritty psychopath.
Midnight Vista by Eliot Rahal Midnight Vista★★★ - A quirky tale of alien abduction that fails to stick the landing.

193869 Lenny wrote: "he's also written Superman and The Terrifics but I haven't gotten to them yet.."

Yang's Superman is terrible. He has Superman join an underground wrestling circuit. Haven't read The Terrifics since he took over from Lemire. Those issues haven't been collected yet. His creator owned work is quite good though.
193869 Anurag wrote: "If I remember correctly, Buckingham did not pencil this issue as he was parallelly working on the next book 'Animal Farm'."

You are correct. Lan Medina drew the first arc before Mark Buckingham came on as the regular artist.

This was good. I gave it five stars.

Snowpiercer: The Escape"

It was, back in the early 1980s.

193869 I'll nominate Black Water Lilies by Fred Duval Black Water Lillies.

It's a French murder mystery that takes place in Claude Monet's hometown of Giverny. A man is murdered three ways: stabbed, bludgeoned, and drowned in a stream.

Didier Cassegrain paints with a style and color palette reminiscent of Monet's famous water lilies while still maintaining his own flair. I often found myself lost in the art itself.

I know. For $15, I'll buy it just to have digital copies of East of West and Manhattan Projects.

193869 Humble Bundle has a great deal on all of Jonathan Hickman's comics from Image. https://www.humblebundle.com/books/cr... Yes, you get all of East of West! And more!
193869 Lenny wrote: "I hope Beauty and Cinderella get the same treatment as Rose Red"

Cinderella gets a couple of her own miniseries down the road. It takes a while before we see much of Beauty but she does take a more prominent role later on.

I really disliked the art in Coda. It was difficult to follow. Probably why I still haven't gotten around to reading volume 2.

193869 Marvel put up 12 trades for free.

193869 I absolutely adore this series. I've read through it at least 3 times at this point. Bill Willingham hit on an ingenious idea. What if the characters from fairy tales were real? And they are currently outcasts on our world.

I love the reinvention of all these old fables and fairy tales. They were often quite grim and Willingham doesn't shy away from that grimness as all. The book is filled with adult themes of sex, betrayal, and violence.

Mark Buckingham who illustrates most of the series is the perfect foil for Bill Willingham. They work wonderfully together. All the characters are expressive with their own look and personality. I also really love the beautiful framing art around each page.

The series has been reproduced in a ton of different formats. I find the latest editions, the Deluxe editions that contain multiple volumes of the original series to be the best if you're looking to own a copy. They're all gorgeous hardcovers.

193869 I read the latest Hit-Girl book In India. It is not good.
193869 Christopher wrote: "I heard Marvel and DC have both put their new comics on hold.
Is that correct?
I imagine Disney is worried about the future of movies, of theme parks, of cruises..
Of comics, maybe not so much."

Marvel finally announced today that they have put new comics on hold digitally as well as physically. DC continues to be jerks even without Dan Didio and said they will continue to release comics digitally. It does look like their weekly comics have been pushed back though and it's just trades that are coming out tomorrow.

193869 Like Phil, I started going through all my Humble Bundles I haven't read over the years. I've probably got a 1,000 comics to read there. Even though they are great deals, does anyone ever get around to reading these?

I've also taken advantage of the increased number of hoopla downloads available (It went from 8 to 25 then back down to 15.). In addition, I'm going through my physical backlog of comics. Hopefully I'll be all caught up by the time my shop reopens. If this keeps up for a while, I may also reorganize and catalog all my physical comics. But that's won't be allowed until I finish all the chores around the house my wife has mentioned.
