Updated message #22I'm planning on getting more short books read these last 5 days of the month. Haven't had the time to read very much so far, but I don't have as much to do anymore so I will try to get some last minute points!
Catherine - There has been some debate over this, but we have decided in the past that all plays are 1/2 points.
Erin wrote: "Another good question from Pippin House member Kelly - will the long book group read choice 11/22/63 count as an extra half point? Probably only if a member starts reading it after ..."Because the long read is supposed to take place over 6 months and isn't supposed to be finished until February it will not count for bonus points.
Ashleigh wrote: "Quick question. If I read a comic book that was 558 pages long, would the be 1.5 points?- If its a graphic novel, heavily pictured book or sparsely worded (i.e. poetry), half points will be award..."
That is correct, It would be worth 1.5 points.
Lina - count it for 250 pages. That makes it fair since a lot of people will read this book this month. Thank you this weekend has been so fun!
Pony wrote: "Lindsay wrote: "A friend of mine is in a different house team and said the easy reads (10 per month) is a full point but it says sparsely worded books are only 0.5. How many points would easy reads..."This is correct! A regular short story that is under 50 pages is worth 1 point
I was really hoping to have a couple books read by now, but I have been so busy. October is always the busiest month for me. I will be on a 3 hour flight tomorrow and on Monday, so that will at least get me 6 hours of solid reading time! I am going to a cabin in the Washington, but I might not have a lot of time to read while I am out there. We have lots of plans and are going with a big group! Hopefully I'll have a few points by the time I get back!

The most popular editions page count should be used for every book physical, ebook, or audiobook. (I thought this was in the rules I will get it added)
I like to read horror and mysteries during October so I am going to start with Roald Dahl's Book of Ghost Stories. I also like to listen to audiobooks while I clean the house and I just got Daisy Jones and The Six from Libby today, so i am planning to start listening to that on the first to get that extra 0.5 point as well!
