💙Congratulations to Sapphire and Ruby on the wins this month! ❤️
Well done everyone, these are high averages for this early in the challenge. I am impressed!

189072 Just to further clarify the sparsely worded, heavily pictured, etc, rule the books that fall under these categories are worth half points not half pages.

Thank you! 19.5 is correct. Don't know what happened there.

I've updated message #11 with my reads from yesterday. I think I got the math right this time!

189072 Sorry for the confusion, but books for November do not have to be started on the 1st. If you finish a book in November that you started in October it will count towards your November points. Books only had to be started at the beginning of the challenge, not each round.

189072 Updated message #11 with my reads for the second half of the month. Sorry, October gets really busy for me! I stay home and read in between handing out candy to trick or treaters on Halloween so I will have a few more points tomorrow!

189072 Only 1 more day for the first Round Robin Tournament. Please have all your October points logged by November 2nd. (you can still log your October points after that for the overall competition, it just won't count for the round robin) I will post the official final results of this round on the 4th as long as I have all the final scores from the prefects by then.

189072 @Lindsay - Yes, you would count it for November if you don't finish it until then.

189072 It is ANY book under 50 pages. This includes graphic novels, poetry, etc.

Laura, I can see why your confused the way you phrased, "There is no limit on graphic novels, heavily pictured books..." There is no limit on these as long as they are over 50 pages, but anything under 50 pages is an easy point.

189072 Yes, Jessie, you can go ahead and count it as an easy read.
Oct 02, 2024 07:37AM

189072 @Jasmin List it as "Tom Sawyers Abenteuer" instead of "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" and you can use the 299 pages.
