50x66 I agree with you Karen - it didn't make up for her behavior & you know next time they have a fight she's going to be the same exact way ...ugh! I couldn't stand her lol. but I did enjoy the ending & thought it was awesome that they all ended up in the same place in the end. plus if she made Jeb happy then I'm glad he's happy - he seemed like he deserved it after all he went through :-)

50x66 No worries Karen - I just finished the 2nd story last night & have to say that one was so cute too but do agree with you, so far the 1st is the best. I started the 3rd story today & don't like the main girl -I feel bad for Jeb. But yes I do get how they all relate now which I think is really cool :-)

I don't think I've ever read Dacula either but did read the first couple pages of Frankenstein so I understand what you're talking about for the letter format - I'm glad to hear it's just in the prologue though because I feel like I'm missing parts to the story ...but I know it'll make more sense as I go :-)

50x66 Aww guys I just finished the first book in Let It Snow & it was so cute! I really liked Stuart but have so many questions - like what happened to Jeb & how did Jeb & Stuart know each other & did Stuart & Jubilee do the whole long distance thing & what happened when she went back to school, did Noah try to win her back? like I said.. a lot of questions lol but it was so good :-)
now on to the next one :-)

50x66 So I was able to get Frankenstein for free through the Glose app - it's from Simon & Schuster :-)
I hope everyone has a good New Year's :-)
Dec 30, 2016 05:12AM

50x66 I will most likely start around the 15th too since I need to read Let it snow & get Frankenstein :-)
Dec 28, 2016 04:55AM

50x66 I'm so glad you finished Erin & did awesome :-)

I'm still working on the December book myself - just got the book @ the end of last week & this weekend was crazy busy but my hope is to really crank through it in the next week or so ..though I may have to finish it in January.

As for the January book I've always wanted to read Frankenstein & Wuthering Heights but after reading the descriptions & a couple reviews have to say I'm leaning towards Frankenstein, though Dirk's detective agency also looks intriguing lol :-)

50x66 Merry Christmas to everyone!

50x66 I love the snow & cold but have to admit that was quite cold lol ... it's a bit icy here & we've got a few inches of snow from a storm over the weekend & we're supposed to get a bit more tomorrow which is fine with me :-)

I also hope Erin is kicking finals butt lol

Good news - the book came in so I was able to pick it up after work tonight. I'll probably start it tomorrow since I need to finish the book I started yesterday :-)

by the way I really enjoy audio books while traveling to & from work - it makes the commute so much better ...thanks for the idea Karen ;-)

50x66 I finished Dash & Lilys book of dares & loved it ... I can't wait to read what you think Dano. Karen & Erin I would definitely pick it up sometime - it was so cute & fun.

I'm still waiting on Let It Snow to come in - hopefully it'll come in this week :-)

hope everyone is doing well & staying warm (it was -2 this morning when I went to work this morning)

50x66 So I'm still waiting on getting Let It Snow but I was able to get the audio book of Dash & Lilys book of dares & have to say it's so cute & funny - I've been laughing out loud throughout the entire book so far ;)

50x66 I am glad you like it :-)

I love Picoult's books but do have to space them out because of how emotionally draining they can be. But, I think that's what makes them so great.

I'm honestly not sure if Chris will commit suicide - I think he might but at the same time he was angry with her for doing it (or rather making him do it) that he might not. I guess it's up to us as readers to decide what happens in the future and my hope for him is that he moves on and finds happiness. I was surprised that both sets of parents stayed together - I wouldn't be surprised if they divorce in the future though. I was also very frustrated that no one found out about the trauma & Melanie burned the diary & didn't tell anyone... it answered so much for them & yet she kept it a secret.

I was definitely crying when the truth was revealed. And, I thought the same thing with the invisible ink on that note Chris found - I wonder if it was Emily revealing the trauma on the note to Chris but he never got it since the line broke.

50x66 Oh & I ordered Let It Snow through my library -hopefully it'll come in soon :-)
Dec 12, 2016 10:14AM

50x66 I agree with you, Karen - he should have gotten help ... the way I looked at the part where Chris doesn't tell is his fear of her not forgiving him afterward & then her still going through with it. If only she felt safe enough to talk to her family about all of it, but I suppose there's a lot of what if's when it comes to things like suicide.

50x66 My choice is either #2 or #3 -they both sounded good but agree with Karen that reading 3 books in one sounds like fun ;)
Dec 04, 2016 03:57PM

50x66 Yeah, I personally didn't really like the way any of them were grieving ... like I get you lost your child & I can't even begin to imagine what that must feel like but grieve together & try to get to the truth of what happened not just outright blame someone & the parents too. I don't know maybe I would be the same as them if I were in their shoes but as it stands I'm not & can't foresee myself doing that. Either way good luck and I can't wait to read what you think @ the end :)
Dec 02, 2016 09:37AM

50x66 the ending is emotional ...honestly the whole book is emotional lol & I think the ending just makes it much more heavy I guess.
Dec 01, 2016 02:19PM

50x66 WOW! I finished it & have to say what an emotional rollercoaster, which is what Picoult does lol

I don't know what else to say other than wow lol ....how long did it take for you to be able to digest the book, Dano?
Nov 30, 2016 10:34AM

50x66 here's my hypothesis of what happened ... Chris shot Emily because she asked/begged him to after she found out she was pregnant & the baby's father isn't Chris - I'm thinking she was raped maybe... I don't know, that's what I'm thinking right now just from what I've read (just finished the flashback scenes where they play truth or dare).

don't tell me - just figured I'd share what I was thinking lol. Karen & Erin - what do you guys think happened?
Nov 30, 2016 05:22AM

50x66 I'm further behind than you are, Karen... I just read the part where James puts down the dog & all I can say is I don't get either couples relationship ... I mean seriously neither really communicate & it's just annoying. He's a hunter so of course he shot the dog... it's less expensive than going through the vet & like he said it was his dog. (mind you, I don't necessarily agree with him shooting the dog but it was quick & his dog so his decision) ... I can just foresee an affair happening & I don't like it *sigh* rant over lol :)

I thought it was interesting when the kids were playing at the beach & Chris said they wanted to be the same.... wonder if that'll come up again.
Nov 28, 2016 01:27PM

50x66 don't feel bad at all, Karen... I am soooo behind! between 2 family get togethers for thanksgiving (Happy Thanksgiving!) I haven't had a chance to read much.

I'm not exactly sure where I am but so far I'm enjoying it :-)
