185 Almost certain it was this one. Just looked at the series, and it doesn't look like there's a book for the woman who came forward at the end.

185 I've only read the first book in the series, but this one qualifies I think.

185 Don't give up. Just come back and bump this thread every few months. I've seen some found after 6 years I think!

Sadly the other day I saw one that had only been up for a year, but I never saw it until then... and I knew exactly what book they were looking for and could have told them a year ago ;)
185 Not a guarantee, but I'm pretty sure I read all of DK's books up until the late 90's maybe early 00's, and this doesn't ring the slightest bell. A lot of them I can look at the cover or hear about them and have at least a basic memory of what it's about, if not remember the full plot. Again, not a guarantee.
185 Thanks Bryn
185 Bryn... You are my new hero! I just finished Murderbot Exit Protocol and was like NOOOOOOO.... IT CANT BE OVER!!!!! Lol.

Now to have a look-see thru the rest of these suggestions and see what else there is.
185 OMG! Who knew following a depressed, anxious, bored robot around could be so good!?!?!

Thank you to this thread for Murderbot. I started yesterday and am already up to the last one. I want to know what happens, but don't want to have to leave him behind.

185 It's a trilogy, and from memory, the changeling-ish characters just keep coming.

185 Much easier ;)
185 That looks like it... I'd quiz a librarian on how to get your hands on a copy or if it's possible.

Maybe even put some kind of gumtree or eBay add up to get people to check old collections.
185 I agree with Amy. D'Elen McClain series.

That's the first book in that series, I never got past that one, so I don't know if they are all the same, but your description is spot on for book1.
185 I'd like to read it.

185 Archangel down by C Gockel. PS nothing about Angels, it's just a code word. Te changeling bits a spoiler (view spoiler)
185 I also remember one where a human activist sabotages labs using animals. She finds a wolf pup in one and takes him with her... Only for him to later turn into a toddler. Then she gets tracked down by his pack and dragged in.

If it interests you, I'll see if I can hunt up the name.
185 Not quite, by maybe. I didn't finish it as it was heading towards 'must hump everything' from memory, but I might have got it wrong.

The lead is a female who was injected with wolf virus and nanos to make it work. I this she, another female or two and the original wolf who was used to source the virus escape and head for his pack.

185 Karma by Donna Augustine
- about the 'universes' bureau. There's Fate, Karma, Cupid, Santa Claus makes an appearance etc
185 Breaking Even by CM Owens. It's several books into the series, and they are all good.
185 Damn... This sounded good... and then I read the reviews :(
185 I should probably know this, but anyone know what *(sic)* means in the newspapers etc?

They'll have it in the middle of quotes, so I suppose it means something like 'we added, or they missed something' maybe.
185 Isn't RH just polyandry? But I guess there's a difference between that and a harem... In some books ;)
