It's been a long time since I read them, but I do remember one of the endings was a surprise.

I tend to have a pretty good memory for books. Most of the ones I've searched for here have ended up being stored on my 'crap' shelves cause they were so bad. It's usually either just pieces of scenes or the general idea of the plot that I liked and it starts to bug me if I can't place it. Once it's found, I realise the actual book missed its potential (IMO) or was so badly written, I've wiped it from memory.

Don't remember it as part of a series, but it's possible

- the h was orphaned or something and I think the house she was raised in wasn't very good (don't think there was physical abuse, but verbal and dismissive... possibly religious tone?)
- country house maybe farm
- I think the H was visiting (maybe rich or possibly royal) the area maybe for summer and there was some kind of 'through the window' communication or sneak out for them
- it's possible the family raising her was more aware of 'who she was' than she was and had always intended for her to marry the son so they could keep control of her
- they set up a scene for the H to see of the h 'making out' with the son. The H took off and cut her off because of how it looked from the outside, but he was attacking her... can't remember 'how bad' the attack was, but don't think he raped her. It was more about scaring the H off and letting her know this is the way it's gonna be
- she was pregnant and either couldn't get hold of H or (it I'm not mixing books) she managed to get hold of his brother and the brother was protective of the H and told 'the cheating lying h' that if she was pregnant and if it was the H's, they would make sure they took the child from her... so she shut up and left
- I'm not sure when or how he came into it, but there's sometime of rich uncle/father ish character that takes both her and her son(?) in. Turns out for some reason he was supposed to have custody of her, but didn't want a noisy kid around and left her with the other family. Pretty sure they are close by the time the kid is a toddler/5ish and they are all living together and he loves having them there
- think the h is his heir
- somehow the H or his brother comes back on the scene and stir trouble about the kid

Possibly first book in a series

- think the accident was caused by aqua planing and the guys were part of the support band and maybe one of the lead bands brother?
- there's blood and the h whipped off her shirt to add pressure, think one of the band members gives her a shirt or jacket at hospital
- h offers help when they start talking about finding a new support band and then hears them saying their PR sucks (possibly after PR leaks info they weren't supposed to), she whips out her card and says she's PR too
- they hire her company on and I think she travels with them
- H is one of lead band, but they keep it quiet... fall out after she's HIRED directly to the band and some drama from that when she moves to US for that
- think it starts in Oz and goes to US
- there's a support character guy who is one 'work exchange' from overseas (Texas?). He lives with h and takes over her apartment when she leaves

I liked the series, but the imprisoned bit is relatively small... and book 4. Think there's a nano locked up bit in book 2 or three. Def shifters are 'other' in this series and humans really don't know what to do with them.

I remember a movie that started like that around that time. Think the girl ended up stopping it cause he wasn't aggressive enough or something. Except maybe a big two Tory white how and at least the girl was a 'rich' girl... I can't remember anything else.

(Mods, sorry if this is a repeat. I know over thought of posting before, but think I forgot details before I could... Couldn't find a thread, but might have just missed it.)

- Last 5 years read (don't think it was too much older)
- It's book one in a series
- Ménage mfm with brothers - none of them have poly experience or were looking for a poly relationship

- h is divorced pre book from financially & mentally abusive ex (still abusive). Don't think he was physically abusive, but I've got it stuck in my head that he did at one point maybe after he hears she's dating...? She got the family home in the divorce, but ex goes skitz and tells her she better not be thinking of bring another man into 'his' house when he hears she's dating (maybe the physical abuse bit?)
- h's ex was cheating on her all over the place and making noise about getting back together even tho he's still shagging around and doesn't plan to stop
- h's ex was in construction(?) and had her running on a half a shoe string budget (before & after divorce), but someone spills that he's loaded. She sees his house which is huge/good and does confront him later on.
- h has two kids with ex... Under 10's? Older boy and maybe 5yo girl.
- cause it's mean to call names... The son (pre book) got mad and called the sister a 'Jennifer!'... It stuck as a family habit

- they meet at H's mothers house party as she's a street neighbour and a 'friend' to h (she may have meet H2 in passing previously)
- pretty sure mother is a bit older than h but H's are younger than her
- there's a story with the mother
- there's also drunk drama with mother & her ex at the party

- H1 is just back from army(?). Notices his brother (H2) being a jackass to h at mothers party and realises he likes her cause that's the brothers nervous way
- H1 likes her too and can't resist hitting on her... I think they hook up the first night but keep the relationship quiet (there might even be window climbing)
- think H1 & maybe H2 babysit a some points

- H2 finally gets over his 'pull the girls pigtails' approach and when she points out she's seeing someone now, he says they aren't good enough, and he'll fight for her... until he realises it's his brother and he can't take something good away from him (maybe in bad shape from army?)
- H2 either sees bruises or hears something and insists on being there when the ex next comes to pick up kids ... May or may not make things worse

- there may or maynot be discussions about the 'dirty(?) hippies' outside of town who ménage... but that may be another book (and not said in a truly mean way, just a bit of omg'ish)

No worries. I tried a friend who for some reason I thought might know... and success!

Long shot as I never read that book, but I used to have one of Bella Jewels books. They system stole it back for some reason and she's no longer on iBooks.

The h was the presidents long lost daughter who had a horrific life once her mum ran off with her. She shows up and says I need a job but you're 'not my father'. The H is the vp I think and there's something about how if she had grown up in the mc, he would have had to ask permission to touch her, but because she came in as an adult, the father has no say. There was a 'friendly' mc who had a pres ('friend' of the H) who liked to watch sex, and snuck a peek at them in a bar once... BUT

THAT pres's story was something about his 'love' dying and her sister always had a thing for him and for some reason she was back and needed his help etc. I didn't read that book.

Hells angels or something like that.
