185 oh, Richard Katz! Perfect. I was hoping to get a mix of classic and contemporary, and you're nailing it.

185 I'm mostly interested in adult fiction, but YA/NA is good too. Marital status irrelevant. Minor characters welcome. Thanks!

185 Either, I guess. But I was thinking more of psychological flaws. Like being self-centered or controlling or having no sense of humor.

185 I'm looking for fictional characters who would make terrible boyfriends IRL. Not straight-up evil, villainous psychopaths - but guys with flaws that would make them poor romantic partners.
185 Revolutions of the Heart? The cover doesn't fit but the plot kind of does.

185 If Lilac is in the UK, she may well have read one of the Silver Dolphins series linked to in her last post. It looks like those books were published in UK before US, with a UK pub date of May 2009, so they could have been in her school library before school ended for the year.

If we don't hear back from her I think this could be Possibly Solved

185 You're welcome! :)
185 But...perhaps it's Miss Tizzy?

Miss Tizzy wears a purple hat with a white flower in it. She lives in a pink house with an overgrown garden. Parents may think her peculiar, but the children love her.

Together, Miss Tizzy and the children bake cookies, make pictures for people who have stopped smiling, play dress-up, put on puppet shows and parades, and strech out on bright quilts in Miss Tizzy's backyard for an evening of singing songs about the moon.

185 Hey Betsy, I promise none of the librarians will think you're creeperish! We get these kinds of questions all the time and most of us enjoy them. :)
