Exactly, it was only a beginning, we won't go back. We will stay!

I definitely hear you! It's the same for me. Whenever society is cruel to me, I think of Hermione, who had to endure so much hatred, one could argue even racism, that I have the power to rise again.

And nobody dare say a word against Luna, she's my other great role model, for everything you have stated already.

Losing a sister is never easy, so sorry to hear that. But I bet she was watching over you and the marches, and quite proud of the women, wherever she now resides.

Porpentina also happens to be one of my favourite women characters. In fact, I got her wand as a present for Christmas. Now, one may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one! (Pun aside, I'm very realistic to be honest, but one may have dreams in general, am I right?)

A perspective that needs more coverage, I think. Never thought about that myself, but in some way it would make sense.

And I love that OSS is so diverse. Diversity is what we need most!

I definitely also had this feeling, it was awesome to watch Twitter in the morning and be able to see that the Aussies and people in New Zealand had crowded streets already.

January 21st, definitely a day of history in the making.

179584 I'll look for Austrian coverage, but give me time to translate it.

179584 Hey, I'm writing in here again after ages:)

I was wondering if we wanted to meet again, we have way more books to discuss than last time and, aah, I just think it would be nice to meet again, this time with more of you.

Are you interested?
Do you want to suggest when to meet?

She is definitely an inspiration to us all:)
I have seen all the pictures and from dusk till dawn, from Sydney to Hawaii, I was always repeating:"Today is history in the making. There hasn't been anything like this before. NOTHING. Yesterday we mourned, today we fight!"

I felt so proud to see also people gathering in Vienna, Austria. Even tho I wasn't marching, I felt this huge spirit of connectedness, and the speeches in Washington were just awesome. Madonna definitely rocked it too:)

Emma is also at the march, she posted for pictures.
Here you can watch the march in Washington DC live:

I think this is such a strong image to braid one's hair together in solidarity!
The march was headlines in Austrian news and a few hundred people also gathered in the capitol, Vienna.

You have put that in a wonderful way. May I copy it and use it for myself, when others are discussing gender with me?

Thanks, yet another lesson learned. Yeah, it makes more sense to use this one, where you don't have to add letter by letter, and you could forget some, and focus too much on others.

Wow, 620 cities is really A LOT! That's more than countries exist in the world. Wow, I'm mind-blown.
1,5 million people is so much, I'm so mind-blown!

Thanks:) The FPÖ always speaks of the demonstrator profession. One of my colleagues replied that he wouldn't study if protesting was a job. He'd do it instantly. He's going to three different protests tomorrow:)

I can only second here Laure. I'm sad too that we won't live long enough to experience an environment without gender roles.

I have read all your three posts in here, and am eager to read what will be discussed here in the future.
I must say that for me, this is a whole new perspective to look at it, because I have so far more thought about gender, and not so much about it from the sex' perspective.

If I ever came off as rude in any way, I deeply apologize, it wasn't my intention.
And I agree with you, gender and gender role are two aspects not to be used in the wrong way. They both exist (yet), but aren't to interchangeable.
