Seriously, I have no idea what makes it so attractive to me, b..."
I have to agree, vice versa is always great:)

I don't think that that stands against your feminist principles, it shouldn't be about wearing a certain type of clothing in order to represent your values, it should be about being able to make the choice of wearing whatever you prefer.
(But I like women in dresses too, you're not alone:) )

We in Austria don't have this close relationship to our representatives, but I will still write some of them, in order to make them aware of our issues.

I think feminism is first and foremost about options. If you have the option you should be the one to decide. Whether it comes to the military, the raising of children, or gender roles. I don't say there aren't biological differences between all the sexes, when there obviously are, but I don't dare saying that because of biological differences we are not allowed to not choose what is best for us.

As more people are for Linz right now (and I don't mind whether we meet in Salzburg or Linz, both are not far from Graz), WHEN do we want to meet. Are we sure for March?

Exactly. The good thing is that she( I guess that's the pronoun Hanne Gaby Odiele prefers to be adressed with) can turn to other intersex activists, and it's always good to be able to turn to one another.
FYI: October 26th, 2016 marked the twenty-year anniversary of the demonstration in Boston. It's caled Intersex Awareness Day. And November 8th marks the birthday of Herculine Barbin, known as Intersex Day of Remembrance or Intersex Solidarity Day.

Hey folks, what do you think of March in Linz or Salzburg? Quite in the middle so it doesn't take too long to go there, and March because that's not too far away either:)

Belgian model Hanne comes out as intersex, and speaks about the surgeries which could cause more harm than good. Good on her!!

Sorry that I missed your post earlier! In fact, many organisations are, also in Austria and Germany. It's horrific that to this day humans are mutilated in order to maintain the "sex binary."
Here are some of the organisations:

Wow, I'm really happy that she made this huge step and came out as intersex. That's such a burden to wear if one can't talk about it.
But I couldn't read the comments, they are so TOXIC! To compare intersexuality with the issues that it is compared to...
But then, this only shows how much work there is still to do!

Wow, you have put that so on point. Feminism is not about dividing us into sections, but to unite us and use all our different points of view to create something even greater!

I haven't been able to comment before, but wanted to share an interesting reflection that an American friend posted on her Facebook. Even though I don't live in the States anymore, I foun..."
Now, I do think that all these issues should be considered and tackled. But that does not mean that we in Europe and the US don't have our own problems to tackle, although I do agree that they are often not as worse.

If you took a sign to the Women's March, you are officially a part of history! They're being archived so, for museum purposes, your..."
That is definitely awesome! This day will be remembered for years to come. Such an honour to live in such times, and be able to live while it was happening.

Some Austrian news papers also covered it, mostly with more than one article per news paper.

Wow, wow, wow!
You know what you marched for, and please, keep your spirits high! It is wonderful to read this, and especially this:
"Because there are humans in this world suffering and we can/should help them by accepting them into our country."
I'm not used to people with as much love in their hearts as you have, that really makes me become soft again, and I'd like to thank you for that.

I just looked at their twitter and I love their page on 10 a..."
I definitely need to check it out too. Maybe I can adapt it to Austria, Europe:)

Exactly. She's right at the top! And McGonagall became Headmistress:)
I will never forget this one scene in CC when Hermione flooed to the Headmistress' office and more or less shouted at McGonagall about her nephews.

As I said, a day of history in the making:)
I'm so proud of all of you! You rock it!

Sadly I couldn't march myself, but I was all over Twitter and watched the live stream from Washington. In my thoughts I was with you, and I KNOW this day will be a part of history books, like May 8th, 1945 or Nov 9th, 1989.
It was GIGANTIC, and everyone I told about it was underestimating it. But if people come together, change can and will happen.
Now, I want to thank you. Because every single one of you who marched, around the world, and numbers are it were some millions, marched also for me.
I feel so intimidated at times, so lacking of any hope for change, so lacking of power; but not yesterday. Because yesterday it was the biggest march in human's history. Yesterday was out of comparison. It was a union of love, friendship, understanding, backing...
against hate, against misogyny, against wrongs in the past and present.
And when I look at this one picture where our Boss Lady embraces this young Muslim girl, I am at a loss for words.
Love, not hate, makes America great.
I don't know how I can thank you enough, for you have also marched for me. And in my darkest hours, that are yet to come, and in my biggest moments of doubt, I will remember that you marched for me.
YOU ARE WONDERFUL, AND I AM GLAD TO BE A PART OF OURSHAREDSHELF!
THANK YOU!
DANKE!
MERCI!
GRACIAS!
