Well, if we take everyone accountable, we also hold men accountable. Two issues (varying in the force) solved at once.

I think such a test should be passed by anyone, not just men.
I don't know who started the Vanity Fair controversy (of which one do you even speak of?, I don't get much notice of such papers, last one I witnessed was Emma's), so I cannot say much to that. If you're talking about the one Emma was involved in, that one was just horrible and totally unfeminist! (The debate, not that she posed in the way she did!)
The OSS pictures were nice, I'd be glad if Emma did them again. They were for us:)

Audible, Kindle, Paperback, Hardcover.
Apparently there is an updated version from 2002. A German version named "Der Mythos Schönheit" is a translation from the original it seems, as it was published 1993. (And the German translation has 445 pages, that's LOTS!)

:)
Especially since trans and intersex people can be women too! And we must not forget enbys!

Gender and sex is more complicated, it's not just a binary, neither of these!
What it comes down to really is the question: What makes a gender a gender, a person assigned to a certain gender and all these questions. My brain is too tired to word that properly, sorry!

A woman only area would be a good thing if it prevented these it is not meant to punish men just to ensur..."
I wouldn't have a problem with such an area, I do have a problem with a festival that is for dyadic, cisgender women only!

Thanks for telling me. I better not watch it then, I'm not really a fan of fairy tales and that stuff. If I want a strong female fighter I can watch Star Trek: Spaceship Voyager:)

The thing with this is: how do you identify a man (or a woman), in this context? I'd definitely pass, but would I want to go there ( I never go to festivals, but let's just think about it), my answer is no: because I most likely have a different concept of what makes a woman a woman than they do, and it wouldn't sit right for me.
Gender is complicated, and that doesn't even recognise sex here, so, I definitely feel excluded with such statements!

I never thought "Once Upon A Time" would be feminist or LGBTQIA+friendly. I don't watch it. Is it worth watching if one is interested in feminism or MOGAI (that's just the same as LGBTQIA+, but I like it more, since it is more inclusive!)

France's Simone Veil is granted to be buried at the Pantheon in France:

That will take a while, but currents of change are hard to stop, aren't they?
I really like "Fingersmith", and "XXY", XXY is a really great movie that is intense and shocking and they don't even need much action to achieve it. Might be worth watching it again!
A series that I really like is "The Casual Vacancy", I read both the book and watched the series and can recommend both of them. The series deals with a difficult childhood, bullying, death, and secrets and well, rioting teenagers.

Just drop Agnes a message, that should do it:)

They have the right to assemble peacefully - but we have the right to critizise them nonetheless. It's called Freedom of Speech!

and her mom told her not to make a fuss.
But she really wanted to see that one special to her,
there where they did so horrible things to her;
where they violated her right,
although she continued the fight.
Now when she went there,
all the memories came back,
like a smack,
and she really tried to hide it,
but her body didn't abide it,
and so her feet and hands were trembling,
until they were all assembling!
Now while they were assembling,
she made a better composure of herself,
and didn't let the others see how much she was trembling,
in this place,
in this phase of her life,
where they did what they did to herself!
Where they ripped out her balls,
although she built walls,
but they broke them,
and left her broken,
and made her woven.
Years later, she looked upon her,
and saw some lines,
and they were numb,
and they were lies!
They weren't simply lies,
they were scars,
and that harms,
and she discovered even more,
in regions better ignored.
Where they ripped out her balls,
out of that tiny belly,
but she played with balls,
and never with bells!
She remembered all of this,
and was close to make a hiss,
but she wanted to keep the bliss,
and so she felt amiss.
