You do agree to viewpoint that "The end justifies the means". It is true then. You are evil."

First, Emma said it already and I definitely don't think that the end justifies the means. The means make the end, that is what I believe in!

No, not really. They're both in their seventies now and enjoy their time. But they still love to have people around...

Totally my view on it. Let's not break the force that OSS is.

Please.

179584 I feel like sharing a victory of feminism in Austria:

When my grandma(may she forever be the way she is) opened a small bed and breakfast in her and my grandpa's house (which they built together;), she had to ask my grandpa whether she was allowed to BY LAW! He allowed her, but that's not my point, it's the point that she had to have a permission from him by law.

Nowadays she wouldn't need anymore, good thing that changed.

The argument is that it helps in different ways. Hey, maybe we should make a topic for this? I don't want to be reminded of the heteropatriarchy in a topic celebrates the victories of feminism. And I think it has much content to talk about.

Maybe we should all listen to this song more often:

I really like Sookee's songs, man, she takes a piss at right-wing radicals;) Ne Queerfeministin eben;) A queerfeminist, that's what she is;)

You know, social facts are hard to break. If they are installed once then we do it without thinking much about it. So there's still hope. Sociology is cool;)

You're not gonna like me for the song I think, but we need to talk about sexual pleasure. In a way that is not heteronormative!

YES!!!!

In Germany now all people are allowed to marry. Some people could still be prevented from that because of some bad wording, but it's definitely a progress!

Questions that will probably need to be debated again and again. And I agree with you, it's not very likely that there will be a consensus that everyone agrees with. Can't be.

And Ana raises a fair point, because from what I know, China is definitely not using it to protect its citizens.

Let me think for a moment.
So, you say your age group is 14-18? And you haven't settled on any specific topic?
The book that I still think had the most impact on me that we read here in this not so tiny place anymore, was "My Life on the Road" by Gloria Steinem. It's easy to read, not really brutal, but it gives a really good insight into how politics affect everyday life, and that nearly everything is possible if one only wants it.
A book that I also think is really worth reading is "We Should All Be Feminists" by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, or listenin to the talk:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUyGi...

A book that I LOVE is "Middlesex" by Jeffrey Eugenides: A book about sexuality, sex (as in biology), and gender expression. It also gives a short lesson on 20th century US history. It was the first book ever that made me shed a tear.

Maybe you could let your students write a letter, or a poem, about a topic that they feel strongly about. And frame it and print it, like Ashna suggests.

A TED talk that I really appreciate, and think should be watched by anyone is this one:

179584 We're in a serious state - everyone.

One way to help end this state is tackling online abuse, discrimination, sexism, cyberbullying, all of it. Thing is, I don't have an answer to what could work properly, and that gives me the itchies.

hermaphrodite, harlot and slut are definitely not names one wants to be called, so I'd rather have some policies than no control at all.
