some update:
1. I am meeting someone from a French publishing house tomorrow, to talk about the project, so wish me luck ! :)

Fingers crossed Debbie!

Ich hab mir überlegt, dass wir das doch als Topic posten könnten, weil man aus der ganzen Welt unterschreiben kann. Dann in Englisch natürlich:)

Achso okay, das wusste ich nicht. Ich mach das gleich mal:)

Enjoy My Life on the Road, there were quite a few of us who have said they felt like part of a legacy after reading it. It is a really good book!

Ich wohn leider nicht in Deutschland, aber ich schau, was sich machen lässt.

I agree, but we have to be careful, it only improves diversity when it is used intersectional. Otherwise we still have discrimination.

So a colleague and I were talking about the women's quota today and now we are interested in what you all think about it?
What are the positive and negative aspects?
Let read from you,
Meerder

Aye, never say skirt - otherwise you get kilt:)

does anyone know if I can find other participating cities?"
I asked HeforShe Graz if they know, and will post in here when I have an answer from them. But I'll look for myself as well now.
EDIT: This is from last year, but I haven't found anything from this year yet:

I'll ask the people from HeforShe Graz if they know more - and come back with more if I have more:)

Here's hoping this year is jus..."
Wow, congratulations on that! May I ask where you take these pictures?

In this period, buildings around the world will be illumined in orange, in order to #orangetheworld :)
In Austria, Graz will be the first city of Austria to participate, and will therefore illumine the "Uhrturm" (clocktower) in orange from 24th to 26th, as well as the Burgtheater (it's a theater much like the East End or West End in London) on the 25th in Vienna.
You can see pictures of the Uhrturm here:

What bothers me is how boys ARE allowed but you aren't... It would make much more sense if it were the other way around.

To be able to speak endangered languages or extinct languages, like Massachusett, Shawnee, Potawatomi and Powhatan, in order to help that these languages do not become extinct, and in order to revive them. Power to Algonqiuan languages! (And any other Indigenous languages for that matter)
Silly power: To not have to sleep at all... all-nighters, here I come:)

l will never understand why women aren' allowed to wear tight trousers. For "too short" skirts - that is debatable. Because what is "too short"? And why is it that it is obligatory to wear skirts and trousers anyways?
Not much from me on that, but I would really like to hear others' opinion as well.

If their privates even look "normal" after that! IGM is equatable to FGM in hospital settings, come on, who is in favour of FGM? So why being in favour of IGM?!
On a sidenote, 1 in 2000 infants are born with genitals that cannot be classified as either male or female according to our rigid standards. God damn it, for real!

It is on the birthday of Abel/Herculine Barbin, who was born in Saint-Jean-d'Angély in France in 1838, and committed suicide 30 years later in his flat in Paris.
"A life contingent on what others decided about who, and what they were, Herculine’s life became a fictionalised template for everyone born intersex. "

When you read about her life, you can't get not moved - and hers is a story that represents so many intersex lives.
But there are also good news for today:
The highest German court has issued the parliament to rework the civil status law - to work a third option besides male, female and blank into it.
Especially that they announced it today, on Intersex Day of Remembrance, when this day is about a person who committed suicide because she couldn't take it any longer, that for me is very meaningful.
AND then there is another great news - US-Americans, you made history yesterday!
Betsy Driver was elected to the borough of Flemington, New Jersey. Which makes her the first intersex woman in the world to be elected to public office, the first intersex person in the US, and only the second one in the world!
If you would have the opportunity to meet her, you would see her passion she has for the things she holds dear.

Dear Betsy, congratulations on being elected. I still remember that afternoon when we all gathered for a last time in Vienna before we would all spread again.
