thoughts while reading:It was kind of smart of them to hide in the crypts. No one would look for anyone alive in the land of the dead.
thoughts while reading:This must be so hard for Jon. He has made oaths and now has to act like he's breaking them.
thoughts while reading:The dreams that some of these characters have are so crazy! Some of them have alluded to things that end up happening in real life so it's always interesting to see which ones will mean more than others. (if that makes any sense)
...so Cersei tried to have Tyrion killed? Am I understanding this right?
thoughts while reading:Yeah, Theon was not the smartest.
And here comes Ramsey... he's kind of a screwy dude.
Why would Ramsey care about saving the Frey's?
thoughts while reading:"Harrenhal pulls them all down in the end." ← Definitely true of a cursed castle!
Yeah, Arya definitely got brave. lol Go her!
The Bolton thing was kind of a shock, but in the sense I thought it would take longer to happen. I was also hoping the reverse would go down. lolThat ending!!!!!!!!!!
(view spoiler)
I am so excited to start this book! I need to finish the last couple chapters from A Clash of Kings today and then I am diving right in!
Thank you! I think Jet Li is way more bad ass, but he's over here insisting Jackie Chan is. lol NOPE!
thoughts while reading:"Her whole life had been one long fight, it seemed." ← I hope Dany finds a resting place. She's pretty much always been on the move.
"Child of three, they had called her, "daughter of death, slayer of lies, bride of fire. So many threes. Three fires, three mounts to ride, three treasons."
Why are the ship masters not wanting to help or have dragons aboard? I'd imagine people would be in awe and want to help since they haven't been seen in centuries.
If she wanted people to know the dragons are returned, why not use the names of her own dragons? Are those three the most recognizable dragon names?
So this is WAY off topic, but this is a debate I'm having with my hubby and I'm curious what other people think!Who is more bad ass?
Jet Li
Jackie Chan
thoughts while reading:I find it kind of funny (but awesome) that Sansa has to step up to do the queenly duties when Cersei basically bounces.
How was it Renly fighting?
I was actually talking to a friend about this yesterday. She was thinking that the wound froze before he could completely bleed out as well. It did seem significant enough for Davos/showmakers to pause while looking at where he was laying.
thoughts while reading:I think Cersei knows how messed up her son really is.
"The Starks will have no joy from the fall of House Lannister, I promise you."
thoughts while reading:It's kind of impressive that Tyrion steps up to go into a pretty important/dangerous battle.
"If I fight, they must do the same, or they are less than dwarfs."
It seemed smart of him to reference that it was their city Stannis would ruin, not that they were fighting for a king they don't like.
thoughts while reading:If people are... lesser born? (not noble), do they not have last names at all? Davos refers to himself from before being knighted simply as Davos of Flea Bottom.
Not gonna lie... totally skimmed this chapter. Ship battles are even more boring to read than battles on land....
"The mouth of the Blackwater Rush had turned into the mouth of hell."
I feel like Theon has grown so much (even from before he went back to his dad). He put others first and seemed genuinely humble. He protected Sansa and even Pod. I'm really curious where his story is headed as well.
