174195 I like the idea of endless pasta! :-)

174195 I finished Rebel and put it in for the time travel one because a glimpse at a futuristic society in Antartica sounds like a good place to visit, but it would work elsewhere if we need to move it. :)

I think that would be great for a boat!

I am working on The Nothing Man as my next Kindle and audio read so should have that hopefully done in the next couple days for our polar bear answer. :)

I have a couple other in progress reads I should be able to wrap up soon too. Hoping to finish up Rebel today (I have about 2 hours left on audio) or definitely by tomorrow which will fit a few prompts.

Others in progress that I plan to finish this week:
Northanger Abbey
Tehanu
You Look Like a Thing and I Love You: How Artificial Intelligence Works and Why It's Making the World a Weirder Place
There Once Lived a Woman Who Tried to Kill Her Neighbor's Baby: Scary Fairy Tales

It seems this is my week for weird and long titles. :) This readathon hit at a great time - the extra motivation is keeping me reading instead of crashing in front of the TV!

174195 I just finished Until I Find You which I had down for best part of a county fair because finding friends and all, but then the author mentions funnel cakes, and really fried fattening foods has to be second to time with friends as a favorite element of a fair, so it was clearly meant to be! :)

174195 I finished with Girl, Serpent, Thorn and put it in for what I wanted to be when I grew up (a writer - sounded good at the time).

I'm getting started on Until I Find You which I was thinking of for the best part of county fairs because when I've gone to county fairs I'm looking forward to meeting up with friends so finding them is the first thing I do. :)

174195 Okay I finished Invisible Girl by Lisa Jewell so I'm going to fill it in for hidden talent (making jewelry) since there wasn't anything else on that line though we could certainly move it to hobby or elsewhere.

As for how good it was - I'm not entirely sure. It was a very easy read and it kept me wanting to know what was going on but I'm not sure I loved it? I'm going to have to think on it before reviewing it! :)

Automating falling asleep would be such a lovely thing! My sleep schedule is all kinds of screwy lately!

I'm continuing on with Girl, Serpent, Thorn for what I wanted to be when I grew up and Rebel which would fit a few different things.

174195 So on the subject of audiobooks, I do listen quite a bit while doing crafts, especially when making jewelry.

What do we think of a book by Lisa Jewell being an answer tied to hobby or hidden talent. Jewell --> jewelry? I should be wrapping up Invisible Girl this weekend.

I'm reading Malorie so will just have to come up with a silly answer for that one... Maybe bad habits of walking around not looking?. 😄"

I like that book/habbit link! 😄

I have a buddy read chat starting in a bit, but started on Girl, Serpent, Thorn last night (because I didn't already have enough in progress books) and think that will be the first I finish off today. I thought this would be a good one for career you wanted when you were a kid because I had early ambitions of being a writer and this one has had a lot of focus on story telling so far (characters asking someone to tell a story, favorite stories to revisit, fairy tales, etc).

I don't have much going this weekend apart from a couple book chats, so plan to mostly be reading and a few of my in progress reads done!

174195 I've seen a lot of debate on whether it is should be Black, Indigenous and People of Color or if it is meant to be limited to Black, Indigenous People of Color. I likely will focus in on Black or Indigenous authors for myself just to limit it a bit but I think Ellie's sentiments are right!

I am happy with both the tops and a bit sad to see blackjack in the bottom as I thought that was a clever way to focus on "21".

174195 oh patriotic music is good! I was also thi king blues so anything with a blue cover. or country so any book that takes place in a country. :,-)

174195 I think I found the right setting to freeze the names at the top of the columns as Edie wisely suggested to make it easier to make sure to fill things in under the right places. I'm not as good in Goggle docs as in Excel, but I think it worked? Hope that was okay to do! :)

Too much of a stretch to say "nothing" for which body part you'd want to get tattooed? I have The Nothing Man to get to on my list this week. Or a polar bear weighs nothing because who's going to convince a wild polar bear to get on a scale?

There Once Lived a Woman Who Tried to Kill Her Neighbor's Baby: Scary Fairy Tales is another one that would be fun to get creative with and I'm hoping to read it this week (it's short). Killing neighbors would be a bad habit! Hired killer would be a career I'd dislike. A polar bear weighs enough to kill you.

As a kid I wanted to be a writer, so most anything could be put in that category as a stretch I'd think.

174195 I would think that as long as we aren't marking things done yet, it would be okay for planning?

If something works on multiple questions, should we list it on any that it works for and then we can narrow it down once we figure out which questions have the least possibilities?

174195 Hello Team Icepops! Look forward to reading and answering silly questions with you all!

I happen to have quite a few books on the go (I quite often do) that I was hoping to wrap up this weekend so hopefully can find a place to slot them in.

Priority one is Rebel because the digital loan goes away Saturday afternoon. This one could fit in many places. (20. Butterflies are beautiful – butterfly on the cover - 31. Takes place in the future and I wouldn’t mind getting a peak at the future - 40. Blue cover and people have said blue is my color).

174195 US - Colorado - Across the Universe

(this is set almost entirely on a spaceship apart from the first chapter which doesn't say where they are on earth, but the main character comes from Colorado most recently so I'm going with that)

174195 US - Illinois - The Girl He Used to Know
Jan 03, 2020 01:16PM

174195 My first book of the year was The Girl He Used to Know for the neurodiverse character prompt which I really enjoyed.
