Looking at the book description, I think that this could still work. I think memoir that includes a romantic relationship in it qualifies as having a 'romantic element'.
It is hard to know ahead for plot twists, but generally speaking most things classified as 'thriller' usually has some sort of plot twist.

I don't have many Y books on my read list! You was a good read if you like to read from a very dark/twisted perspective.

I have an Australian book underway for the island read, but it is doubtful I could finish it in the next 24 hours, probably not until tomorrow night. Since it is likely someone else will get to that first, I can look further down the line.
I have a copy of Trail of Lightning at home so could prioritize that since it was recommended here unless someone else has a book recommended by the group.
I'm also working on Into the Drowning Deep mostly on audio which is a book set mostly during August for the summer prompt, but could read it in print too to speed things along if we need it.

Just a thought since I think Kathryn's book for the pretty spine also works in the travel prompt or others.

Migraines do not work well with readathons. :( Thankfully I could still audiobook and it only lasted a day!
2. What has been your favorite part so far?
The team challenge has been a good motivator to read, plus the bucket prompts are fun to do some extra book planning to see what fits where.
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
I've finished five books and read over 2300 pages which is a lot more than I expected to have done.
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
I have started and stopped a lot of books as we've moved between team buckets, so my goal is to actually finish some of the books already on my currently reading pile!
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
The team challenge has definitely encouraged me to pick up books that weren't already on my June TBR, but mostly I have found books to help the team that I already planned to read. Being on a team definitely gives extra motivation to keep going though.

Understandable! The Lost Man is also by an Aussie author, so lots of options!

I wasn't sure if Australia counted as an island - Google gave me mixed results on the question of continent vs. island, but that definitely opens up a lot of possibilities!

Island authors is stumping me for ideas. I think that came up as a suggested prompt for last year's voting process, but I don't know if anyone knows of any island author lists to draw from?

I did notice that you have A Woman is No Man for a couple possible categories. I just checked out The Lost Man from the library, so if we don't need it sooner than that and time allows, we could go for two titles with "Man" in them as a possiblity.
I also added the books on my June TBR stack that work for various categories. I can't commit to reading all of them of them before Sunday. :)

I got my kid's book from the library, but struggling with a migraine today so reading a physical book long enough to finish is questionable tonight. I'll see how things are going later on, but it sounds like we have a few child books in progress already.

Well done team!!
