What letter should I guess? I checked the board & only vowels are on it so I guess it hasn't been updated. I didn't want to guess a letter someone else has.

Hi Team March. Thought I's do a mid afternoon check in. I have had a good reading day. I'm reading Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. I have 146 pages left. I should finish tomorrow. I will log my pages read later tonight. Good luck team.

I finished 3 books before the end of August. Confessions of a Bookseller by Shaun Bythell. I liked it. Undercover Bromance #2 by Lyssa Kay Adams. I like that series too. A Better Man (Chief Inspector Armand Gamache #15) by Louise Penny. My favorite series.

I will second a book by an author on this list of 100 Black Novelist you should read.

I would like to suggest reading your favorite type of book. It could be be your favorite genre, author, a book in your favorite series, a book related to your interest of study. A book that brings you joy. Any type of book you come back to. Not a reread just a book that speaks to you.

I have finished 3 books since my last check in.
The Bromance Book Club (Bromance Book Club #1) by Lyssa Kay Adams. I got sucked into this series & immediately checked out Undercover Bromance (Bromance Book Club #2). I liked that one too. I’m saving book 3 for a little bit.
The last book I finished was Confessions of a Bookseller byShaun Bythell. I really liked this book too. I will finish one more book before the end of August.

Good Morning. I have finished four books since my last posting.
Four Puddings & a Funeral (Oxford Tearoom Mysteries #6) by H.Y. Hanna. I have read this series for years but had not read one for this year. I wasn’t as thrilled with this book. Not sure I’ll continue the series. I’m finding it too repetitious.
The Topeka School by Ben Lerner. I didn’t like it.
A Dangerous Place (Maisie Dobbs #11) by Jacqueline Winspear). Another series I have read for years. I really liked this one.
The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes. I liked this one too. I have waited a long time to read it. I really lucked out. I was on a Overdrive late one night & there it was available. That never happens.

The Read Harder challenge this year did a horror book published by an indie press. I read The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix. I probably wouldn’t have read this book if not for this prompt.
