Hi Everyone, I'm very excited to start the read-a-thon Saturday. I'm currently reading Babel & listening to The Hemingses of Monticello: An American Family. I put both on the spreadsheet. My goal is to finish the audio book on Saturday.
I've seen King Cake but have never eaten it. I've never been to Mardi Gras even though my Aunt & Uncle lived in Baton Rouge forever. My parents used to go. My sister lives in Pensacola Fl & they have Mardi Gras there too.

I'm trying to read in order this year but I've wanted to quit several times already. I'm reading slower this year so we'll see how I do. This is what I've completed so far.

Week 4: What a Wonderful World - The Covenant of Water

I read The Covenant of Water. 5 stars. The cover has trees of green. It' a paradise. The story is about families, children growing up, & faith.

I read The Rose Code. 5 stars. A book longer than 500 pages.

I read The Gift of Rain. Last year I read The Garden of Evening Mists.

I read The Lost Journals of Sacajewea. 5 stars. This was an eye opener. I thought I knew a little bit about Sacajewea but realized I knew nothing & the history books in school were terrible. She had a brutal & tragic life. I enjoyed the writing style.

Hi Team Snowflake, I won't finish Three Holidays and a Wedding tonight. I caught up the candy cane tracker with my pages read today. I had a wonderful time reading with everyone this week. We did great.

Good Morning Everyone, I have 267 pages left in . I'll do what I can. I only have church this morning & yoga at 2:45 pm EST. I should be able to have a few hours where I can read. We're doing great.

Hi Everyone, I finished Mr. Dickens and His Carol. The two prompts it worked for were taken so I just put down the audio hours on the candy cane tracker.

Hi Everyone, I've caught up my pages & books on the spreadsheet. I'm listening to . Would this cover work for the mostly black & white cover? I'll finish this some time today. I'm still reading but I'm not far in it.

I finished . I haven't put it anywhere yet. It works for orange cover but I believe it would work for heroes. They are heroes to many women. Where will it work best?

Good Morning Everyone, I'm listening to which has an orange cover. If I finish today it will be late this evening so if that prompt is still empty I can fill it. It will also fill other prompts so this is good. I'm reading . I won't finish today. This book may be for pages only because it didn't fill too many prompts.

I finished A Holly Jolly Ever After. I used it for gold a hat on the cover. My current read is Susan, Linda, Nina & Cokie: The Extraordinary Story of the Founding Mothers of NPR & updated my planning tab.
