This year I wanted to read The Invention of Wings for a different challenge. I wanted the nonfiction version before reading the fiction story of the Grimke sisters. I read The Grimkes: The Legacy of Slavery in an American Family. It was very good. These books will work for 3. 2 Weeks: A work of fiction and nonfiction that are related if it gets in.

2 multi week suggestions that were made early in the wild discussion were:
1. A work of fiction & a work of nonfiction that are related to the same person, or event, or in the same time period - or other ways related. This was suggested by Jennifer W.
2. 2 books written by the same author,each in a separate & distinct genre. This was suggested by D.L.
I liked both of these & would like to see them suggested.

I have a coffee mug with books all over it. I have Hedwig from Build A Bear. My grandkids were getting bears built & I had to have Hedwig.

Hi Everyone, I've been watching this discussion. All the suggestions have possibilities. There were some suggestions put forth early in the wild discussions I wanted to bring forth again. This will refresh our memories since we'll be opening the poll soon.
1. Under the anniversary suggestions. 60th anniversary of the signing of the Civil Rights Act in the US. 50th anniversary of the discovery of "Lucy". 80th anniversary of the "Great Escape".
2. A book set in Paris.
3. BOTMC pick.
4. The wood or dragon suggestion.
I can't wait to see what prompts we choose.

I want to finish ATY & Popsugar. I want to finish seasonal challenges. I belong to BOTMC so once I finish challenges I want to read the back log of BOTMC. I’m approaching the 2024 challenges differently. I started a list of books I’ve wanted to read for years. I’ll fill prompts with those books.

I read Light to the Hills set in Appalachia. 4 stars. It reminded me of The Giver of Stars. Very similar.
