Good Morning Team Ship. Congratulations on finishing round 1. I feel like there are more categories & prompts to fill for this read-a-thon so this has been more of a challenge. The ship is on auto pilot now. We're reading & listening for pages & finishing what prompts we can.
I'm still reading The Kitchen Front. I won't have time to read till after lunch so I may not finish today. If not I will finish Sunday for sure. Have a great Saturday.

Good Morning Team Ship. I will continue to read The Kitchen Front today & hope to finish tomorrow. If the war prompt isn't completed by then this book will work. I hope you all have a good Friday.

Because The Institute wouldn't be counted as a one word book." Good point Joan. That makes sense. Just so I would know the rule for the prompt I asked Emily. They are counting A, and, or the for this prompt so Joan was right on. Thank You.

This question comes up every time but I haven't seen it this time. Do we count A, and, or the when counting words for a title? For example would The Kitchen Front work for a two word title?

Good Morning Team Ship. I want to take a moment to celebrate our accomplishments. We have read 6,131 pages & listened to 66 hours of audio. That's a lot. Thanks for the hard work.
We need one prompt for Parcheesi. A book with a two-word title. Does anyone know for sure if we don't count A, And, or The in titles? It's that way for the ATY challenge & it's been that way in the past. If not I have started a book that will count. I can't look up that rule right now but can later this morning if no one knows for sure.
We need one prompt for Risk. That is the war prompt. I believe MJ is working on that one. We need a nonfiction book for Trivial Pursuit.
I have started The Kitchen Front. I will add it to plans later this morning.

MJ wrote Good morning! I finished Of Women and Salt,
and will work toward finishing Woman, Watching: Louise de Kiriline Lawrence and the Songbirds of Pimisi Bay, which can go under the "where a war is involved" prompt. I will not finish it today!
I finished The American Agent. I used it for a book relating to history & will let MJ use her book for "where a war is involved".

Good Morning Team Ship. It's very exiting to look at the spreadsheet & see all the completed games. This is fun. I will finish The American Agent later today which can be used for the war prompt. I have no idea what I will read next. Thanks everyone for the hard work. Happy reading.

Good Morning Team Ship. We are doing great. Our current standing is, rolls accrued 16, used 13, remaining 3. We only need one prompt to complete Clue. A book set in a large house or mansion. I noticed Katherine has in progress The Taste of Ginger which is marked for set in India. If this doesn't work I own Independence which is set in India. I can read it next.
I won't finish The American Agent till Wednesday. I won't have time to read today till 2:00 pm.

Hi Everyone, while I was looking at the spreadsheet I noticed we have only 2 prompts left to finish Parcheesi. I went on & used 3 dice rolls to complete the 3 prompts filled. Our current standing is 13 rolls accrued, 10 used, 3 remaining. We can always move rolls around as needed if we find ourselves short to complete a category.

That was me Edie. I moved completed books from the planning sheet to the complete sheet. I checked before moving them from planning that the books were on the completed sheet. I messed up & I'm sorry. I will check better next time.

Good Morning Team Ship. Welcome Jessica. Wow Hawaii. We all live in some beautiful places.
I didn't have a great reading day yesterday. I did more things yesterday than I had planned. I do have a few plans for today but I hope to read more.
We're doing great. We have accrued 12 rolls & have 5 rolls left. We only need 2 prompts filled to complete Risk. A book where war is involved. A book where a character takes a risk of any kind. We need 2 prompts filled to complete Game of Life. A book that centers on family. A book set in a school or college.
I'm currently reading The American Agent. I won't finish today but it works for both the remaining prompts for Risk.
A housekeeping note. Since this is a fall read-a-thon I used orange for books completing prompts in round 2. So if you see orange on the spreadsheets that's what's happening.

Good Morning Team Ship. We're doing great. As noted in Emily's post the requirements for accruing rolls have been changed to 400 pages & 6 hours of audio.
We only need 2 more prompts filled on Game of Life to finish round 1 there. Our rolls count now is 7 accrued, 4 rolls used, 3 remaining.
One quick housekeeping note. After you've moved your plan column to complete please delete that column in plans. If you prefer someone else to do that just let the group know. Everyone is good about helping.

Thank You Elizabeth for that observation. I did go on & removed 3 rolls leaving the prompts. The rolls count is correct now. We'll add rolls to the prompts filled as we collect them. Thank You Everyone.

I looked at our Rolls Tracking & we're at -3. The problem is we're putting completed books under the games categories without accruing roles. As of now our rolls tracking is pages 1042, audio 20.9,accrued 4, used 7, remaining -3. It looks like the way to track completed books is to mark them on the completed section of the spreadsheet & only add them to the games as we accrue rolls. Take a look & see if you agree then Erica or I can make adjustments.

I finished Kindness Goes Unpunished. 5 stars. I put it on the completed tab under Risk a character who is military or ex military.
I'm in Southwest Va.

Erica wrote @sherri I was using colour on completed prompts just to make it easier to see what prompts are to be filled. I figured we just worry about the rolls nearer the end of the week. What does the team prefer.
We can try it any way we like & if it gets confusing we can try something else.

Hi, the question is solved. Congratulations Edie. She finished Red Queen.Congratulations to Elizabeth & Alisa for listening to 10.4 hours of audio. We earned a roll. Edie used Red Queen for Clue a book with a weapon of any kind on the cover. We're using green for the first round. Great going.
