Chapters 18 - 26

(view spoiler)[ I wasn’t expecting Story’s revenge but it makes sense and yet the guys still don’t seem to understand their part in it. Also, Tristian didn’t listen to Story about her not doing anything to his sisters so are they going to get kidnapped?

The attacker was also unexpected and I’m hoping this means that the plot is going to be faster now and that they will talk about Ted and maybe figure it out.

I think I like Tristian the most out of the guys. Also, I think it’s Daniel threatening his sisters because of the fire.

I’m kind of curious who the woman was asking about at the whorehouse.

Chapters 1 - 8

(view spoiler)[ This has the same pacing as the previous book - it’s not boring and things are happening, and yet at the same time not much is happening and I just want to get to the part where they all start figuring things out.

Daniel is definitely Ted. Is it going to take this whole book to deal with that situation?

Chapter 25 - Epilogue

(view spoiler)[ I think I liked this book (the bully part of this was written well), but it will depend on how things progress in the next book, especially now that Story knows about the game. I want to see how Story will act now and how the guys are going to grovel. I really hope that they’re not just going to be forgiven for rescuing Story from Ted. Is Sutton going to be mentioned again?

While the situation with Ted (Daniel?) needs to be dealt with, I really hope it’s not going to be drawn out.

I thought there were also supposed to be games between the different groups of guys. I didn’t think the kidnapping was a part of that though.

What happened was horrible and I’m curious to see how it’s going to affect their interactions. Also, when is Story going to find out about the game the guys have? Is it going to be at the end and it’s going to be the final straw?

I like Ms Crane and I really want to see more scenes with her.

What are the games between the different groups going to be and when do they start?

I’m wondering who’s going to be the first to realise that something’s wrong and not be as mean to Story. At first it seemed like Rath, but now it seems like it could be Tristian.

How is Ted able to know so much? Could he be Daniel?

Given the title of this book, I’m assuming it’s just going to be the guys humiliating and hurting Story.

Chapters 48 - 62

(view spoiler)[ The additional drama felt forced and is putting me off the rest of the series. Why was the mate situation made into such a problem? Yes, they talked about it and it was fine, but what was the point of Maddox admitting that he had a mate and then letting Evaline think that she’s the other woman?

Evaline suddenly running off was just as annoying and very convenient for the plot, so that she could get herself kidnapped.

It seems like she has some sort of magic, which a lot of the wrong kind of people seem to know about, but it’s only appeared once so far. While I’m curious about what it is, I don’t think I’m going to continue.

(view spoiler)[ Maddox staying weak makes it seem like him getting caught is inevitable.

I absolutely don’t understand Evaline's decision when it came to the cemetery attack. Why not just finish him off there? Why go to the extent of telling Maddox that Bassil helped her? Even though Maddox compelled him, it feels like Bassil could be immune to that.

What is Evaline? Half Kova?

(view spoiler)[ Is this whole book just going to be them training and waiting for the wedding to happen? If that’s the case, I don’t like it and I wish something else happened.

Why are the Kova and the Vasi searching for something? Could they know about Evaline’s power?

I’m not sure if this series will be interesting enough for me.

Chapters 1 - 16

(view spoiler)[ I really liked that Evaline and Maddox aren’t enemies because that feels like it’s done very frequently (to varying degrees of success). I can’t wait for them to have to interact more.

I liked seeing that even though Evaline’s mother died, her father was still great - it feels like that’s not too common in books either.

Evaline seems to have a power, one she doesn’t know about. Is it shadow magic? Do the Kova have magic, other than living forever?

I don’t think there’s a clear plot yet for what the trilogy is going to be about, but I want Evaline to leave her aunt and uncle because they’re annoying. Are they going to try to get her engaged at the party?

Chapters 12 - 14

(view spoiler)[ I really hate that the conversation about wolves and Cooper’s real job with Ed, Dean and Sophie was cut out. That could have been so good.

The investigation was fine, but now that both Cooper and Park don’t have work for a while, I really want to see more about the wolf world.

I think I liked this book as much as the previous one, but the absence of the conversation is really bothering me.

(view spoiler)[ I really liked the conversation Cooper had with his father and I’m curious to see how (and if) their relationship is going to change.

I knew someone was going to be a wolf! Stephen’s reaction to Park and his family was strong and I really want to know the story behind that.

Could the blackmailer have been Robert (? I mean Gabriel’s father)? He seemed to have a reaction to Rose’s name. Did Jacob really have a relationship with her and the snobs weren’t happy about it?

Chapters 4 - 7

(view spoiler)[ Is there a reason Cooper can’t remember much of his childhood, other than just being young? Is Cooper’s father having memory/health problems or is he hiding something?

I’m kind of waiting for someone to suddenly turn out to be a wolf in Cooper’s hometown.

Was Gabriel only a bully or was he mean to hide the fact that something was going on between him and Cooper? It feels like there’s a bigger story there.

I want to see more about the wolf things, but that’s probably going to be a focus in another book. What is happening with Park? He seems to be losing control, or at least is more reactive than usual. Is it that he hasn’t shifted in a while? If there are such things as mates in this world, could that be the reason? Also, what did his family/pack lie about?
