Insects & Arachnids:135. Ladybug - Female author
How it fits:
Albany Walker
Chapters 22 - 27
(view spoiler)[ That ending was way too quick and vague. Everything that happens with Waylynn being taken in is in the background and nothing is talked about in any sort of detail; her parents’ decisions and reactions, the meeting with the lawyers, Waylynn talking to her therapists, the family sessions (which I don’t think her mother deserves).
The idea of this series could have been good, but the voices are rare, the relationship just is and they don’t really get to know each other. All of the books just feel like filler with one quick key event happening in each.

Chapters 15 - 21
(view spoiler)[ Does Waylynn’s mother actually care about her and is just blinded by her snobbiness or is she just a bad parent? I liked Waylynn’s dad so I’m hoping at least he won’t try to manipulate Waylynn when he finds out. Bates’ parents are great too, but I wish those scenes were more detailed.

Chapters 8 - 14
(view spoiler)[ This other women drama is a bit annoying. I would assume that it’s Waylynn’s mother who hired her to break them up but she came into the picture before her mother even knew about the relationship. Does the woman and KJ have a real motive or are they just being awful for the sake of it?
I thought Waylynn’s mother would cause more trouble, but she seems to have disappeared for now.
The voices haven’t really been talked about in detail - I thought Waylynn would at least mention that she heard Memphis just now, but she didn’t.

Chapters 1 - 7
(view spoiler)[ I’m liking the scene at Bates’ parents’ house, but was there a reason for Waylynn’s reaction to Jerry?
When are the guys going to tell Waylynn about her mother’s phone call? Memphis could be blackmailed with his job, and Oswald with his scholarship or maybe position on the team, but I’m not sure about Bates.

Chapters 17 - 21
(view spoiler)[ I didn’t even think about Waylynn’s parents forcing her back into treatment, but that could be what happens next.
I’ll probably finish the series but I expected more. It feels like things only happen at the end of each book, otherwise it’s just the MCs being together (but not really talking) and other women talking to the guys.

Chapters 12 - 16
(view spoiler)[ I think Waylynn’s parents, or at least her mother is going to come to visit. That feels like a conflict the book can end on.

Chapters 7 - 11
(view spoiler)[ So Bates is going to be included. Are they going to get to know each other while he’s working at her house and she’s staying home because of her injury?
I still want a bit more happening. The voices, the MCs getting to know each other, maybe Waylynn’s parents (I feel like they’re going to turn up out of nowhere - maybe that’s how Waylynn’s secret is going to be revealed).

Chapters 1 - 6
(view spoiler)[ Oswald is fine but I can’t say he’s a favourite. I liked Memphis, but the situation was over with too quickly, especially because not much is happening.
The voices are still nonexistent and I’m still waiting to see if Bates is going to be in this relationship.

Chapters 18 - 22
(view spoiler)[ I still like the idea of this book, but it didn’t feel like much happened. They’re spending time together, but not really getting to know each other. Waylynn hears voices, but it only happens two or three times.
I can understand both perspectives at the end so I’m not annoyed enough to DNF the series.
(hide spoiler)]["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
Chapters 13 - 17
(view spoiler)[ Will the guys be able to eventually hear Waylynn? Liam has disappeared but I think Bates could still be a possibility.
While they are spending time together, it doesn’t really seem like they’re getting to know each other.

Chapters 7 - 12
(view spoiler)[ I guess it is a bit weird how quickly the brothers have started liking Waylynn, but it could be because they’re soulmates.
Even though Waylynn has mentioned the voices often, only one has appeared so far. I want to see more.
Is the end of this book going to be the guys finding out about the voices?

Chapters 1 - 6
(view spoiler)[ I think the idea of this book is cool and I’m curious to see how things are going to play out. Is it a soulmate situation? How many of them are there going to be (just the Gravlin brothers or Bates and Liam too?)? Does Waylynn hear random things from the guys or are they specific thoughts/snippets of conversations? When and how are the guys going to find out about the voices?

I agree! Monty needs his own book! I love all the books in this series except the first one. It was a DNF for me and I hard..."I would even be okay with just a novella for Monty, but I really want his story. I did think the emotional moments were written well too.

Chapter 31 - Epilogue
(view spoiler)[ This series is definitely getting better so I’m excited to continue. Hopefully Monty will get a book (or at least a novella) too.
There were lots of funny moments and I want to see more of these characters in the future.
What’s the situation with Dean? He seems awful so how is Kennedy putting up with him? I’m a bit worried about the setup for Kennedy and Isaiah’s book - I’m not sure how the Vegas wedding is going to work.

Chapters 21 - 30
(view spoiler)[ Is Kennedy’s story going to be similar to Indy’s because of the exes?
I’m waiting for there to be a talk with Monty and what Miller thinks he wants from her.
The girls’ night (with Rio) was fun and I want more scenes like that with the side characters.

Chapters 11 - 20
(view spoiler)[ The scene with Max’s first steps was great. Miller is starting to bake again and it’s kind of making me hope there’s going to be recipes at the end.
I’m curious what the conflict is going to be. The obvious ones would be Max’s mother appearing or Monty being angry about Miller and Kai dating, but I don’t think either is going to happen. I really like Monty and I would read a book about him.
(hide spoiler)]["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
Chapters 1 - 10
(view spoiler)[ I think this book might be even better than the previous one. It’s already funny, with Miller, Rio and Isaiah, and I’m liking the plot.
I feel like this might even be one of those books where it’s not going to cause drama if the main characters start dating - Monty seems very reasonable.
