Chapters 24 - 30
(view spoiler)[ Missy was crazy and I guess justice was served, even though it wasn’t shown, like many other things.
I don’t think I care about Alex and Ted enough to want to read their book. Even though I’m really curious about Allie and Ollie, the fact that there’s supposed to be more side characters (her kids) makes me doubt that it’s going to be detailed enough for me, especially since Low and Bear were kind of in the background.

Chapters 16 - 23
(view spoiler)[ So, there’s still not much of an investigation into the killer even though he’s attacked twice now (if it was the same person). I think the mayor makes sense, but they haven’t talked to him yet. Could the whole cat clan be behind this?
I still need more scenes when it comes to Caleb and Jena as well as Jena’s sons. The small town feeling was good at the beginning but it could be shown better now.

Chapters 9 - 15
(view spoiler)[ I’m still liking the book but it’s not getting better. I don’t think I like how Caleb found out about shifters. It wasn’t bad, but it felt kind of surface level and there isn’t as much detail as I’d like about anything. I’m not a fan of the skinwalker idea but it’s fine since Caleb’s voice doesn’t change.
The plot hasn’t really moved, but I’m curious if the coyote is a sign/hallucination or if it was a shifter.

Chapters 1 - 8
(view spoiler)[ I’m liking this so far - it seems fun and there are enough side characters to show a small town, but the time jumps/scene cut offs are a bit annoying.
Even though I’m liking the town and understanding how it works, I wish that there was a bit more showing Jena interacting with her customers and her kids as well as Caleb getting to know the town.
I wasn’t expecting Alma to vote no and then I was shocked that she was killed. Is the vote too obvious a motive? Objectively, Alex had a reason to kill her but he doesn’t seem likely. Joe is an unpredictable character so if the vote is the reason, it could be him, but it still feels a bit too obvious.
I can’t remember if each book in this series is about a different couple so I’m not sure what to expect when it comes to how far Jena and Caleb’s relationship will progress.
I’m curious to see how Caleb is going to find out about the shifters and it feels like he is one too (but suppressed somehow) or maybe the dreams are a sign that he’s going to be changed (with the spring water).

Chapter 29 - Epilogue
(view spoiler)[ I liked the series, although I think I preferred the first two books (in particular before the flying because i think that was the most rushed part of the series). There were some good ideas, but the books should have been longer with more development. I still really liked the characters and seeing their interactions.
I liked how the book ended, especially with the uniqueness of the pregnancy reveal.
I'm probably not going to read the novellas, but I might try other books by this author because the ideas were there, I just needed more development.

Chapters 19 - 28
(view spoiler)[ There are moments in this book that show great ideas for the story, but they needed to be explored in more detail to have a bigger impact.
Where is the army and what other trap is there going to be?
While I get the context of Aquin telling Olina that her mother wasn’t always the way she was, it doesn’t change anything in my opinion.

Chapters 11 - 18
(view spoiler)[ I really want to see a torture scene with Cassius finally getting what he deserves, but I doubt that’s going to happen.
Is the final solution going to be Olina and Jovan spending half their time in Glacium and the other half in Osolis? Other than that, the only solution I can think of is if they don’t stay together.
So, is Roscoe Olina’s father? Again, I doubt there’s going to be a detailed scene about that.

Chapters 1 - 10
(view spoiler)[ I don’t really care about the assassin anymore, but Olina thought there was something familiar about him so could he be her father? Or there was a moment where Roscoe and Adnan were a bit weird.
I know this is probably going to be an issue but Olina’s life is in Glacium and I’m sure that Olandon will eventually be a good ruler. Maybe it’s just because of the lack of details, but Osolis seems much more judgemental and she doesn’t really have any connection there apart from her brothers.
