What if she was born (supposedly, actually she's a kid of the Light Beings or whateverness) to a poor family, but then when she was however old, her parents were taken to jail because they didn't have enough money to pay the King's/Prince's/Queen's taxes or whatever, and then her siblings and her were shipped off to some rich castle nobles to be servents
