I think you're right. He must have had a credit card. I think Mac cleared him via them! Saying there were no suspicious charges. And it's not like the motel was so expensive that he couldn't use his own. So he must have been being cautious. Which means....why not get cash? The ATM photos is a good point. But it would be a LOT easier in court to say "so what? I went to an ATM" then to say "so what? My mom's credit card has a charge for the motel room my girlfriend was murdered at."
Suspicious Chad....

Question....Chad didn't anticipate killing Hayley (or did he?) If he had enough sense to charge his mothers credit card instead of his own, wouldn't the same precaution take him a step further and just have him pay cash?

The skills have already proven themselves useful! She even bailed herself out of some trouble in the movie =)

Agreed! But to me he seemed like a jerk who didn't treat girls with respect. Veronica did say that it was better for him to underestimate her. I'm not sure how scared or intimidated he was by Veronica. With the official police off his back, I got the impression he was moving on with his life like it hadn't happened.

I hope she still does! It could really come in handy!

The thought kind of makes me want to cry too....

Love that Officer Meeks shows Veronica some respect. She solved the case when the police couldn't!

I was starting to wonder if it hadn't happened for some reason. I was really glad they mentioned it too."

Chad was so in love with Hayley, yet he just tossed her body aside. He didn't even come back to bury it. Just went along with his life!

"She walked toward it as if she were in a dream, Or a memory? How many dead girls drifted in her wake? How many ghosts did she have to carry?"
WOW. This line sat with me. Sunk my heart. Veronica has shouldered a very heavy weight with her career choice. Yet no one is as well suited for it as she is.
