I just finished! Apart from the beginning when they were at each other's throats so much, I actually really enjoyed this. I think I'm bumping my rating up to 4 stars. The scene in the otherland were all really good. I can't spell the name because I was listening, not reading. But all that was so good! That one part was really sad. And when they got back to NY, I completely fell hard for the two of them.I completely believe in their hea!

The one thing I will say is this felt like a filler book. I don't think it pushed the overall story/world forward that much. Except for Quinn and Aryal falling for each other. Unless there's something I can't remember about the next few book. Which is very possible.

I think there is a novella to read before the next book. I'll fit that in soon.

I didn't like her either throughout the whole book. But I was so curious, it held my attention.

But if you're not liking it, move on to something else.

I am happy about where they're going. Once again, I don't remember anything. 😂 I'm still in the same place. I've been reading that other book I was talking about.

Well, J is home... Turning on the tv and making noise. Lol! Fun while it lasted. 😆 He better be glad I like him.

He just told me he wants to go to the hs football game. So we're doing that tonight. It will be fun and the weather is in the 80s- what we call Fall. 😆
Btw, did y'all watch the NFL game last night! It was good! What a way to kick off the season!

Debra- Yeah, those Night Prowler books are a good example. I loved the stories, but the execution was off.

Judy, I love one pot meals and cozying up with the windows open and a sweater or blanket. We get only a few days like that maybe in October and November. We usually go from HOT to COLD and back again.
Oh, what is sauce? Pasta sauce? Like red tomato based? Just curious.

Yeah, at first, I thought she had edited it herself but I checked the acknowledgements and she does/did. 🫤 But yes, I do understand what you're saying. And it's not so much repetitive sentences, but sentiment. Whi h just boggs down the story. This book feels looong.

These two annoy me. They should just eff and get on with life. I know they eventually will, but they're getting on my nerves.

Happy Friday, friends!

I'm home alone for a few hours and I truly feel like Kevin did at first when everyone was gone. 😂 I need to clean, do laundry, and go to the grocery store but I'm not going to do it. I'm in my jammies on the couch and I'm going to read an ARC I am not loving but I'm determined to finish. This is why I don't normally read ARCs. It's a great story but not well executed. And I know her but maybe not well enough to tell her the truth, truth. I met her in Utah. Plus, it's an ARC, not a beta read. I think it's too late for the paperbacks, and she is so sweet. 🥹 Basically it really needs a better editor. It's repetitive, and a lot of incorrect or not appropriate words. But! The characters, setting, and basic story are good. Things to build on.

...Anyway, maybe I'll be an adult later this afternoon.

Yes, I agree it started off a little slow.

I finished Filthy Rich Fae and loved it! So I will start this one next. I'll be slow because it's the weekend and my hubs is off work plus football and all that. But I'm starting!

I finished! I really loved this one. It started off good and kept getting better. There is still a big mystery I REALLY want to know the answer to, and THAT ENDING!!! It is definitely a cliffy, but I have definitely had worse there I wanted to writ the author a very strongly worded letter. LOL! I still can't wait for the next one!

I will probably try to read the vampire series in the meantime.

I have like an hour left, but I have to go to a group activity for work I will finish it tonight. I like it!
