I just don't want to be a downer.

I was hoping someone would suggest this one. I will check in since I just finished it, it y'all decide to read it.

I'm on chapter 18 in the audiobook.
(view spoiler)[Y'all I can definitely see why I rated this book high. I really do, but also, boy oh boy do I not like these two characters. Brock is an incredible ass- though he is getting a lot better. But Tess is one of THE MOST annoying KA heroines to me right now. She is JUST SO PERFECT it is making me ill. And I really don't think I have heard the word rape so often in a book... I am probably still in a bad mood maybe. But I wanted to read it for the series sake. And Olivia is cray cray! KA exes are always so terrible. (hide spoiler)] I am interested though. I want to know how everything turns out. I don't remember anything. Sorry if I'm ranting too much. Don't read the spoiler if I am.

Oh, I so wanted to do a br with all of you guys, but this one didn't make it 😅 will ..."Yes, I had it on my August list, but I was going to wait if it got picked, but since it didn't I went ahead and read it. It would have been a good BR.

I decided to give this one a try again. Hopefully I'm in a better mood and I'm past the initial shock of how much of an ass Brock is.

KA is bad about this too... just saying. Shirleen and Evah(? is that her name? Hawks office manager girl.) Anyway, both stereotyped. But I think she had good intentions. And I appreciate these authors trying to diversity their world even before it was the "in" thing to do. Now, I think they get sensitivity readers, at KA does to point out things like that. And their work is better for it.

Normally I expect it from white authors an..."The stereotyping annoyed me too. But I tought about when the book was written. Authors are much more aware of this type of thing nowadays. Anyway, the relationship between those two improves a lot, so I think TH had good intentions with poor execution. So, grace... If she wrote this post 2020 I would not be as forgiving. Not that I don't still give grace to humans... Anywho... I did love this book too.

Have you ever read Geneva Lee before?"No, I haven't. This was a very random purchase.

This is a maybe. I love Talia Hibbert.
