I most likely will post the cake. I could have gone full-time a long time ago. I didn't want to when the kiddos were still in school and playing sports. I need to be off during the summer and just freedom to come and go.

I have been so busy. I do not like it. I need time to just chill.

I've been so busy at work. But it has paud off- being willing to help put in various departments. So, I was asked to go full-time and I'm getting a pretty good raise. Plus benefits, which thank goodness I already have health insurance, but now I will get pto and retirement. And get paid during holidays and stuff! And my kiddos and I can take classes for free! -Fune time for that when Chis is graduating this December and we already paid for tuition. But! If he does decide to go to the fire academy, maybe he could use it for that. Of course now he says he wants to coach baseball.... anyway... The down side is I have to work until 5 and maybe on Fridays... I need to ask about that. But I'm happy about it. I've worked there part time since Chris started kindergarten.

On the really not good note, my Gran is in the hospital. She has an infection that is really effecting her liver and kidneys. She had a biopsy that we are waiting for the pathology report to come in... please pray for good news on that. We should know by tomorrow. But in the meantime, she is on antibiotics and she does feel better. And she looks better. Her complexion was very off.

I have a baby shower cake to make today! My newhew that got married in April is having a baby in October... 🫠😊
But we are all so excited! It's a baby girl. They are naming her Hazel and I love it!

My aunts are also coming to town to visit for the holiday weekend. I'll have to find some time to spend with them too. Busy, busy, busy... I'll have to get some rest at some point because I am already exhausted.

I read It was a 4 star read for me. I don't usually like this trope very much either.

LE, you are truly a saint for the work you do for the shelter. I know you had to already be tired from all the moves and driving.

...though I don't usually drink wine. Lol. Though I did have chocolate cake with red wine today. It was delicious! Today is Jerrick's birthday and he poured me a big glass of red wine. I drank it with chocolate bday cake and promptly fell asleep. I woke up at 9 when my alarm went off to call my mom thinking it was the next morning. 🤦🏽‍♀️ I think he thought he was going to get a tipsy wife for his birthday. 😉 But he got an exhausted wife. It's been a week!

I'm definitely going to check in here. I'm so curious to see what y'all think. And if yall figure it all out. Especially Jill, I love how her brain works.
