125611 A reminder that my blog's most recent post, though called "Ethereal", summarizes all four of my groups. Each post, few and far between, covered everything at the time I posted. https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2018/0...

125611 I hope you fill in a few "Ethereal" links so I am not the only one in that review page! I'll leave it open for a couple of months. It is lovely that you will be active overall. I hope you like my blog post. Love, Carolyn.

125611 The closing-out summary is finished! Even if you did not do Ethereal, please pop by. My updates are few and far between, so I summarize information relevant to all participants, of any of my groups. Happy new year 2018!

125611 Hello Erin! I knew we would have chatted about it. I got it right away, really a surprising couple of days after my birthday. It brought me a lot of joy, along with the cards in person of family and the friends visiting me for music, food, and a board game. Sometimes the United States surprises me with how fast stuff arrives. I hope so because I can't believe it is December! I haven't started one Christmas card yet and I'm usually done by this time!

Your air freshner with a funny remark about cats has been sitting on my dresser ever since, behind my bed where I read. We have a small room and use my dresser as a headboard. I love your card like I said and plan to use your bookmark for my next book, if not the present one. Love, Carolyn!.

125611 Erin, I think you missed my note among your book updates. Last month, really only a few days after my birthday, I received your birthday card and the little gifts with it. I thank you again with heart, because it was the only one by mail this year! I did receive several from Ron, my parents, who brought one from my travelling brother and sister-in-law, and three friends in person. But yours comprised my birthday mail this year, which was important just for that. How sweet the jokey pet deodorizer and bookmark are and your card too, made your whole mail even nicer. Love, Carolyn.

125611 We have heard preaching all our lives that a safe life matters, compared to belongings. We can overcome and restart homes, wardrobes, menetoes, and necessities too. I will not argue that. This is the attitude people parted from them have to adopt. It is a relief when these things are safe along with us; the personal belongings more than buildings and necessities. I have found that shifting homes still feels like home when the lives and personal items fill them, from building to building.

Don't ever let anyone tell you that the personal possessions don't matter, which we have deemed the touchstones of our physical lives. They survive us and carry energy. Through that energy we feel joy by using, seeing, or interacting with personal objects. With this in mind: I pray that the people, animals, and their individual worlds are safe in California. It is hard to picture forest fires when snow is blanketing our milieu thickly but low precipitation is a problem there. Store what you care about at some distance and be safe, forest animals and all.

125611 Here is our update post for CELTIC COASTS! I think it is worth visiting even if you aren't in the group this year. You have been in it before, or would like to next year. Most of all, it gives a summary about me and my groups generally, no matter which ones you are in. https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2017/1...

125611 It is a pity the nine year-old's time is over. I will add my light for his family. I'm very glad there is every reason to believe Conan is all right. I am certain that everyone's prayers kept him alive and safely from the first day, as frustrating as it is that this was four months ago. He's all right: we only need to find him. The right person spots him and contacts us, or we find him, or he comes the rest of the way home to us. Snow could have slowed him, or hiding wisely from a scare, or being with people.

We are asking townspeople to be observant about tattooes and posters / fliers. Him, people from whom he is probably being hosted, or us: three ways for us to be reuinted. :) By November 18th is the only gift I need and would give me permament happiness and relief! Like will look good after this! But I'll look forward to my birthday as much as I can and what fun, to know a card will be coming from you. Xoxoxoxo.

125611 Your on-going support for my son equivalent cat, Conan's, safe return home means a lot. We are at four months since we heard from him concertely, a mouse left at a door in the morning.. However more townspeople are helping me lately and my on-line search is boosted too. Although worried, we brush off unhappy suggestions because that doesn't get any work done. No one worrying about their loved-one needs to be told. Human nature fights to keep our minds out of the negative. Our faith is not shaken that postiive outcomes are likely and that our boy will return, or we will find him safely.

A boy in Maine, USA came to my attention, who might only have this month left. He survived stage four of a type of cancer for four years. He got a taste of receiving cards and loves it, as I have all my life. I look forward to cards and a visit for my birthday in four days! A little subdued because Conan isn't here yet but with most of the excitement. And girls my age hope another 45 years come to me and the people I love.

He, Jacob, is having an early Christmas and has begun to receive cards from around the world. His address is at this article and although sad, I would be very pleased to take part. Caring people love having the power to do anything they can, to make someone happy or assist them. A USA stamp is not a lot, for someone who is a card person. http://wric.com/2017/11/07/9-year-old...

125611 We are determined Conan is well and that we will have a positive outcome: be reunited. Here in Manitoba, it has snowed and winter temperatures are here. We expect to see Conan any day. Either he was far off enough that it takes time to carefully travel home, or he has been with people off & on. In case these did not notice tattoos or local posters, I have alerted again on-line. We now ask everyone who sees it to spread the word to anyone they know in our area. If our baby is indoors with anyone, rather than making his way here already, we'll get the message to them.

It was fine for Conan to have an unusual, outdoors birthday for himself September 7. My birthday is in eleven days. The best gift to possibly be bestowed would be to have him home. Announcing his homecoming and safe arrival will be my most relieved, grateful announcement I have ever made. Yours truly, Carolyn.

125611 At times like this, we don't force ourselves to visit out, or have people in and be cheerful for a holiday about being thrilled with how life is going. Birthdays and Jesus's birthday are different. We did have homegrown food and acknowledge the day and the thought. When Conan is back we will be grateful forevermore.

125611 I replied, thanking you for continuing to think of Conan and explained in detail that you don't need to update all your books.

125611 We have an update in MY KIND OF MYSTERY! With a permanent review page, I leave it for you to visit all year and don't need to announce new links. However I do like to check in and urge on chatting, so I have finally made that post.

Whether you're in MY KIND OF MYSTERY or not, you might like to check in because the mystery logo is open for all group members to solve All correct answers earn an extra name in the bowl for the year-end prize draw, which is for all four groups! Thus, it is fair that everyone guesses which mystery book provided the bright, colourful logo.

I will work on update posts for ETHEREAL, GENTLE SPECTRUMS, and CELTIC COASTS as well. However you can go ahead with the common aspects, like the logo-solving and confirming your wish to be in the draw. https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2017/1...

125611 I'm out of patience with Marion Chesney Beaton but *will* give Agatha Raisin a try, to see if her dialogue and characters are less annoying. I own so many of them and the Hamish MacBeth ones are for sale without reading more than the first and having to put away the second after one page! As for Scotland, it was too special and gorgeous for 3 days and I would love to see more, as well as Ireland and Wales.

125611 Either you have not had time for Goodreads or your power has been out as long as you hoped to avoid. I'm sorry about that but was glad you told us you were all safe and well. I'm curious if you took Kibbles to your Aunt's house. I wonder if the other two cats were brought into their people's house.

Ron & I were looking at the TV and saw more hurriances near the Caribbean, which we hope don't harrass Florida or any other populated land again, including Purerto Rico. We pray for all of you who have any fear of being near storms.

My morning glories have grown in warm weather long enough to be blooming every day now! Pink, dark pink, and our longtime blue! I have never reached the blooming of our moonflowers but that vine is climbing nicely and I think is farther along than ever. We'd like to avoid frost a little longer but we are ahead in picking vulnerable produce this time. Love, Carolyn and family.

125611 I'll say it again for September 7th: happy seventh birthday to our kitties! We wished Conan were here for that but if he is having a vacation outdoors as we understand him to be, he did have a good one too. We spoiled Angel and Petal, tooks pictures of them outside our house, doing as they please too. I need pictures posed with them, which is our record-keeping tradition. Every birthday of ours or theirs, posing with our kitties ensures that we keep having recent pictures of us with them.

A little more briefly than Conan was away, my friend's Granddaughter was missing her boy cat. About a month after, they found a body in their town and buried that sweetheart. Recently, their cat came home!!!! I see this as a wondrous sign to the good! Even if you think there is reason to think the worst, prayers can be answered and miracles can happen! So please don't think I don't appreciate every ounce of your hearts reaching out to our Conan's safety, health, and guidance right back to us.

125611 His house was nearby and safer? You packed tons of books and brought Kibbles? Does he have power? Anyway, I doubt you needed the barbeque idea from me for heating water and food, if you live in a place with annual tornadoes or hurricanes.

125611 Where did you, Gage, and the kitties spend the storm? Is your parents' home a mobile? I'm glad you're replanting your tree. Get to it fast and water it right away. I am so happy you could tell me you were safe and your property and home are pretty good. May your power come on soon and I know you are well and reading real books! No need to power up real objects. They just are what they are. xoxoxox!
