1199115 I started watching this but I really didn't like the actress that played Natalia. It also felt strange to be watching Ellen Pompeo play anything but her role on Grey's Anatomy. Now that I know what changes are coming in episode 4, I think I will go back to it.

Just three of the books that tell the story of Natalie Grace. Not really sure which one the series was based on, but I believe it was the one authored by Pat Breese.

Good American Family has just wrapped up on Hulu. It started on March 19 and ended with the 8th episode on April 30th.

1199115 An article on who is applying for a role

https://www.joblo.com/harry-potter-tv...

Each season of the Harry Potter TV series is said to cover one of J.K. Rowling’s novels, for a total of seven seasons. While the movies were able to fit quite a lot in, there were plenty of moments cut from the novels that the TV series will finally be able to bring to life.

1199115 Well it is finally happening!!!! HBO/Max has taken on the project of producing the first Harry Potter TV series! Each season of the Harry Potter TV series is said to cover one of J.K. Rowling’s novels, for a total of seven seasons.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (Harry Potter, #1) by J.K. Rowling Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling is the first book of the 8 book and 2 shorts series.

Although a YA book, most of the world's adults read and enjoyed Harry Potter right along with the youth from his very first first book. I don't imagine that Rowling ever dreamed of how big and world wide Potter would be when she sat at coffee shops scribbling his story on napkins. But here we are today - theme parks and known world wide. Thank you J K Rowling.

Series premier in 2026, but actors are signing on already.

Trivia
After an open casting call for the roles of Harry, Ron, and Hermione, the crew received over 32,000 audition tapes, and reviewed between 500 and 1,000 auditions per day.
(no indication of who made it yet)

In an interview with the Independent, Jared Harris was asked if he would be interested in playing Dumbledore, the role originated by his father Richard Harris in the first two Harry Potter films. The junior Harris responded, "I mean, why do it? I don't understand. The films were fantastic - leave them alone." However, he did acknowledge that there was still "a lot of storytelling" from the books that the films omitted.

Gary Oldman, who played Sirius Black in the film series, expressed interest in playing Dumbledore.

This is the second time that John Lithgow has shared a role with Sir Michael Gambon. They previously played Sir Winston Churchill in Churchill's Secret (2016) and The Crown (2016). The latter featured Harry Potter cast members Helena Bonham Carter and Imelda Staunton, as well as Jared Harris, son of original Dumbledore actor Richard Harris.

This is the place to discuss those films or TV shows that are not produced from a book. There is a lot of entertainment out there and not all are based on books. But rumors or having watched something is great advertisement. Let us know what you are watching and feel others would enjoy. But remember this is the spot for programs that are not related to books.

1199115 The Electric State (Tales from the Loop, #3) by Simon Stålenhag The Electric State by Simon Stålenhag

In the Post Apocalyptic world The Electric State started streaming on Netflix on March 14, 2025. It is 2 hrs and 5 min

IMDb

Parental Guide

Based on the graphic novel of the same name by Simon Stålenhag, the story takes place in a reimagined version of 1997. With humans isolated in their VR helmets and a continuing battle against a strange breed of monstruous drones in the wake of a technological meltdown, a teenage girl named Michelle and a robot travel the West Coast of the U.S in search of the girl's missing brother.

Trivia
The mall used as the robot safe haven is North DeKalb Mall in North Decatur, a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia. It opened in 1965 and closed in 2020 before being demolished in mid 2024. The mall had previously been used in episodes of Loki and Cobra Kai as well as the Fear Street trilogy and feature films Civil War, The Mule and Zombieland: Double Tap.

Goofs
Several times throughout the movie, the Marshall drops his gun and the characters never try to grab it and use it against him. The most prominent of these examples are when they manage to temporarily trap the Marshall in a metal claw, and instead of picking up his gun off the floor and shooting his drone, they decide to run, even though shooting the drone would solve the entire problem. However, it is more than possible (and likely) that the weapon is linked somehow to its robot owner - there have been examples of weapons developed in the past ten years in real life that respond only to an authorised person's fingerprint, for example.

I am not sure - I have found that this is the 3rd book of the series, (??) but I believe it is the 5th film(??) - very confusing!! Isn't Zellweger getting a bit old to be playing this part?

Opened on Peacock Feb 13, 2025. A 2 hr 4 min movie.

After jumping back into the dating pool, single mother Bridget Jones finds herself caught between a younger man and her son's science teacher.

Trivia
Blue cocktails and sliced oranges at first meeting of best friends strongly resemble 'blue soup' and marmalade from the disastrous meal in Bridget Jones's Diary (2001).

Goofs
The children's school appears to only have one member of staff. Mr Walliker is the science teacher, but he also does gate duty alone every morning, runs the Job Day, runs the Outward Bound trip with only the help of parents, and single-handedly runs the music concert while accompanying on piano.

Quotes
Bridget Jones: And even though there might be 600,000 words in the human language, the world still struggles to find the right ones when someone you love is gone.
